WEBs Investments Inc. Announces Intention to Close 11 Defined Volatility Sector ETFs

PARK CITY, Utah–(BUSINESS WIRE)–WEBs Investments Inc. (WEBs) announced today its intention to close 11 series within its Defined Volatility Sector ETFs suite of funds: WEBs Energy XLE Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Materials XLB Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Industrials XLI Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Consumer Discretionary XLY Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Consumer Staples XLP Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Health Care XLV Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Financial XLF Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Technology XLK Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Communication Services XLC Defined Volatility ETF, WEBs Utilities XLU Defined Volatility ETF and WEBs Real Estate XLRE Defined Volatility ETF (collectively, the “Funds”). The Board of Trustees of WEBs ETF Trust approved the Plan of Liquidation and Termination for the funds on or about August 14, 2026.

The Funds will cease trading on The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC. and will be closed to purchases at the close of business on August 26, 2026. The Funds will be liquidated effective as of the close of business on August 31, 2026.

Shareholders may sell their ETF shares at any point during trading hours prior to the market close on August 26, 2026. If investors do not sell their shares before trading is halted, the shares will be automatically redeemed. After shares are redeemed, shareholders will receive cash equal to the amount of the August 31, 2026 net asset value (NAV) of their shares. Payment will be made in the form of a liquidating distribution that is electronically credited to shareholders’ brokerage or other applicable financial-intermediary accounts. Shareholders generally will recognize a capital gain or loss on any redemption. The Funds may pay one or more dividends or other distributions prior to or along with any redemption payment.
