Esteemed Shared Services coach and mentor, Tom Olavi Bangemann, joins Consider Solutions in advisory role

This advisory role will see Tom lend his considerable expertise on all things GBS – particularly tangible enterprise value creation and efficiency gains – and is in addition to Tom’s existing mandates for the likes of SSON Research & Analytics, ConAxia, ABSL, Welspun and ADEC Innovations.

Tom says: “Many GBS leaders want to build a resilient organisation, create a real impact and support their enterprise more broadly and sustainably by providing real value. Consider’s algorithmic approach is embedded in software that delivers what it promises – clearly identified P&L and working capital impact, end-to-end process/value stream efficiency, results that show up at quarter-end, with both quick wins and sustained annual benefits.

“I have validated many cases and every single time their approach delivers the anticipated impact. This is why I am happy to come on board with Consider Solutions”.

Dan French, founder and CEO at Consider Solutions, adds: “We’re absolutely delighted to have Tom advising us, as he’s an absolute legend in the field and wrote the book Shared Services in Finance and Accounting that spawned the industry in Global Business Services, Finance Operations, Shared Services and Global Capability Centres.

“Tom is a sharp, highly respected observer of all things GBS, GCC and SSC, an analytical, witty and informative presenter and the luminary that introduced us to the ‘Caterpillar’ as a metaphor for digital and AI-enabled transformation, and all that such a metamorphosis can deliver, as well as some of the challenges. As we make enterprise value creation through P&L and working capital impact a reality, through our proprietary algorithmic approach, he is an outstanding asset and confidant.”

The Consider Solutions point of difference features smarter use of technology in the context of human behaviour, data insights and decision support. The ‘Pareto Principle’ is a key to success in all of these initiatives; the 80/20 rule by which 80% or more of desired outcomes can be delivered with 20% or less of the cost, effort and cycle time.
