Sales reps have spent the past couple of years doing busy work for their AI. Aligned’s new Seller Agent is made to reverse that.
The sales software company on Oct. 14 released Seller Agent, an AI agent that works inside the shared workspace where sellers and buyers manage a deal. The agent can rewrite content, update mutual action plans and build assets like ROI calculators, then apply those changes directly to the room the buyer sees.
The launch puts Aligned in direct competition with the general-purpose AI assistants that most sales reps already use. The New York and Tel Aviv-based company says those tools sit outside of sales deals, while reps paste context into a chatbot, receive a draft and move it into Word, Google Slides or an email by hand.
“Sales AI can’t actually drive a deal unless it sits inside the deal,” Gal Aga, co-founder and CEO of Aligned, said in the announcement. “Deals happen in the emails, files and links shared between sellers and buyers.”
Seller Agent is available now in beta on all Aligned plans. The company will announce pricing when the product leaves beta.
AI Adoption Without Results
Aligned built the product around a misalignment between AI use and sales outcomes. More than half of sellers already use AI agents, the company said, yet reps still spend about 30% of their week selling and work across eight or more tools on a single deal.
In announcing the launch, Aga pointed to three problems. General assistants connected through Model Context Protocol, or MCP, reread a deal’s full history each time a rep asks a question and retain nothing afterward. On long deals with dozens of calls, the model’s context window fills, and details drop out, such as an email that went unanswered for weeks. The assistants also can’t act on the deal’s materials, leaving reps to move drafts between tools.
Further, each rep tends to build a separate workflow, which leads to inconsistent content reaching buyers and little visibility for sales leaders.
“Somewhere over the past two years, roles flipped, and reps became their AI’s assistant,” Aga wrote.
The Brain Behind How the Agent Works
Seller Agent handles four main functions in a single conversation. It answers questions about a deal’s status, such as assessments on whether a deal is qualified. It proposes bulk changes across a room’s content, tabs and action plan, which the rep approves before anything goes live. It follows standing instructions to update the room after each call and sends a change log, with one-click reversal. And it builds interactive assets like calculators, decks and pricing pages from plain-language requests.
Aligned said competing tools separate asking questions from taking action into different modes or windows, while Seller Agent handles both in the same thread.
The agent runs on what Aligned calls the Aligned Brain, a layer that continuously reads every call, email, CRM update, calendar event and buyer action in a deal room. The company says it captures 19 times more deal data than a call recorder or CRM alone and learns at three levels: the individual deal, the company’s sales approach and patterns across the market.
Because the Brain reads continuously, Aligned says the agent answers in seconds without reprocessing a deal’s history.
Teams that prefer their own AI assistant can reach the same deal data through Aligned’s MCP server, which connects to other tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Glean. Aligned plans to add playbook connections and custom skills later this quarter, so outputs such as executive summaries follow a company’s internal formats.
Aligned said Seller Agent isn’t meant to replace the CRM. The company positions it as an execution layer that sits between the system of record and the customer. Customer success teams can also use it for onboarding plans, quarterly business reviews and renewals.
Aligned pioneered the digital sales room category five years ago and rebranded its platform as an AI deal workspace earlier in 2026. The company says more than 70,000 revenue teams and 1 million buyers use the platform each month, including Deel and WordPress. Aligned has raised $73.8 million, including a $60 million Series B led by PeakSpan Capital.
