BlueStacks Launches Full Android Desktop Optimized for AI Agents

Run multiple Android apps side by side on Windows and Mac, with an environment optimized for AI agents like Claude and Codex

BlueStacks today announced BlueStacks Desktop, a full Android desktop that brings true multi-application support to Windows and Mac.

For years, Android apps on a computer have meant one app at a time, in a single window. BlueStacks Desktop changes that. Built on Android 16, it lets users open, resize and run multiple Android apps simultaneously, just like on a traditional desktop. Apps can sit side by side, be arranged to suit the screen and stay open together, so users can move between them as easily as they would between any desktop programs.

BlueStacks Desktop is designed for two kinds of users: people and AI agents. For people, it offers a familiar desktop way of working with the Android apps they already use. For AI agents such as Claude and Codex, it provides an environment optimized for them to interact with Android apps, navigate between applications, and complete tasks in a sandboxed environment.

“Android has finally become a true desktop operating system, with multiple apps running side by side,” said Ambreesh Bangur, VP of Product and Engineering at BlueStacks. “With BlueStacks Desktop, we’re bringing that experience to Windows and Mac, optimized not just for people, but also for AI agents that can use these apps to get work done.”

BlueStacks Desktop is available for Windows and Mac.
