Whop, the technology company building an end-to-end API for running a business, launched Economic Intelligence, a layer that identifies the highest-return action for a business to take next and executes it on the owner’s behalf once accepted.
The launch responds to a gap Whop sees across the current generation of AI business tools. In the US, 65% of aspiring entrepreneurs use AI to launch a business and 46% of business owners use it to run one, but most of that AI hands every business the same generic guidance.Â
A model can advise posting more consistently or running an ad campaign. It has no insight into what is working, in real time, for businesses at the same stage in the same vertical, and it cannot say with specificity what will generate the next dollar.
Whop’s new Economic Intelligence captures what successful businesses do at every stage of the journey across every vertical on the Whop network, from precious metals sellers to in-person dog trainers and thousands of other niches. Whop separates that context from the agent that acts on it, describing the agent as an execution layer guided by Economic Intelligence in a market where models have become commoditized.
“Whop has economic data from business across sectors, and in a world where models are all commoditized, we can marry agentic actions with this data to unlock value for many people building businesses,” said Ishan Garg, Head of Engineering at Whop.
Businesses reach Economic Intelligence through recommended actions. A “Recommended for you” section now appears on the homepage of every Whop business, directly beneath the balance. Each action displays a projected value on hover, and an action history records the returns from actions already completed. Clicking a recommendation sends it into Whop AI Chat, which asks clarifying questions only where input is required, such as a product name, before executing with minimal further involvement from the owner. Economic Intelligence is also available to developers through an API endpoint, positioned as a perk for teams building on the Whop platform.
Recommended actions for existing businesses include optimizing the website and funnel with Whop Blueprints, adjusting product pricing, launching high-ROAS ad campaigns through Whop Ads, recovering abandoned carts, reducing churn through automatic retargeting, and granular tasks such as a recurring weekly DM to top customers. For new businesses, Economic Intelligence can recommend a business to build and generate its website. The common thread across every action is a reduction in time to the next dollar earned.
Whop measured approximate results across a sample of 14,905 businesses using Economic Intelligence for one month, compared with the month before. Combined sales grew 31.8%, unique paying customers grew 26.3%, and transactions grew 26.5%. Unique paying customers grew 26.3% versus 2.2%, and transaction count grew 26.5% versus 1.5%.Â
Economic Intelligence extends a programmable stack Whop has assembled through 2026. The Whop CLI, released in August, gives business owners and their AI agents access to the platform’s full API. “Whop CLI closes that gap instantly, connecting businesses with our end to end API,” said Steven Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Whop, at that launch. A partnership with SpaceXAI brings the same capability into Grok and Cursor, and Economic Intelligence now supplies the guidance on which action to take.
The launch is a further step toward Whop’s mission to deliver everyone a sustainable income. The company describes Economic Intelligence as a system that proactively surfaces the next revenue move, like a hire who knows the whole business, built in. Businesses can join the waitlist from the whop.com dashboard. The full announcement is on the Whop blog.
