Serhiy Tokarev Explains How Zibra AI’s ZibraGDS Can Accelerate Rendering and Simplify Complex 3D Scene Creation
Zibra AI, with the support of the investment group Roosh, co-founded by Serhiy Tokarev, presented ZibraGDS, a tool that makes it possible to work with animated geometry in real time. According to the developers, this solution will change the approach to creating complex 3D graphics, as similar effects previously required lengthy offline rendering.
Investment group Roosh supports the development of Zibra AI’s innovative technologies. ZibraGDS is regarded as one of the most promising new technologies in computer graphics. It was one of eight projects presented as part of the ACM SIGGRAPH 2026 Real-Time Live! programme.
How ZibraGDS Works and What It Can Do
The technology’s key feature is its approach to handling large volumes of geometric data. During compression, 3D objects are automatically divided into small structural elements called meshlets. The data is then decompressed directly on the GPU using amplification and mesh shaders. This allows large volumes of data to be processed in parallel and complex 3D scenes to be rendered with minimal performance loss.
ZibraGDS builds on the ZibraVDB platform, introduced in 2024, which supports real-time volumetric effects such as liquids and fire in Unreal Engine.
The new technology is designed for highly detailed 3D scenes, including water simulations, object destruction and complex visual effects. Creating such elements traditionally required time-consuming, resource-intensive offline workflows. Even minor changes to a scene often required repeated rendering.
According to Zibra AI, key advantages of the technology include:
- processing complex geometry directly on the GPU;
- rendering scenes up to 10 times faster;
- reducing animated data volumes by up to 92%;
- handling scenes containing millions of polygons.
Building Infrastructure for AI and Digital Content
Serhiy Tokarev believes that investment in such technologies drives the development of emerging fields, from AI to digital content creation tools.
“The next generation of AI and digital content technologies requires new infrastructure. We invest directly in foundational technologies that can shape the entire industry. I believe ZibraGDS is another step towards creating high-quality digital content faster, at greater scale and more affordably,” adds Serhiy Tokarev.
Zibra AI explains that the technology was developed in response to the practical needs of teams working with large-scale 3D scenes.
“Our technology eliminates the long waits associated with offline rendering when working with animated geometry. These scenes can now run directly in the engine in real time,” says Zibra AI CEO Alex Petrenko.
Technologies of this kind will transform the production of virtual environments, films, video games and interactive products. Teams can view results in real time, test different solutions, use resources more efficiently and shorten production cycles.
