XVision AI’s EagleEye Platform Consolidates Traffic S ensing Technology Across Asia-Pacific With 180 Deployed Units

Australian smart-infrastructure startup XVision AI has deployed 180 EagleEye traffic intelligence units across the Asia-Pacific region within its first year, replacing up to six legacy systems per intersection with a single AI-powered device.

— XVision AI, an Australian smart-infrastructure company, has deployed 180 units of its EagleEye traffic intelligence platform across Asia-Pacific intersections since launching in late 2024, marking one of the fastest hardware rollouts in the regional traffic technology sector. The company has set a target of operating in at least 1,000 intersections across the region by 2027.

EagleEye is a single integrated device that replaces what the company describes as five or six separate legacy components, including road loops, radar units, thermal sensors, cameras, and third-party integration software, with one AI-powered platform. At its core is a stereo vision system using two lenses to produce three-dimensional depth data comparable to LiDAR, at significantly lower cost. All data processing occurs onboard the device, at the intersection, in real time, without routing raw video to a remote server.

The platform simultaneously tracks vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users. It identifies near-misses and conflict points as they occur and delivers structured data to traffic controllers, cloud platforms, and safety reporting tools. For cities and transport agencies pursuing Vision Zero or Zero Harm targets, EagleEye provides intersection-level intelligence that previously required expensive third-party consultants or years of accumulated crash-history data.

“What we’ve done with EagleEye is collapse what used to be five or six separate systems into one intelligent platform,” said Simon Maselli of XVision AI. “Instead of fragmented data from loops, radar, and cameras, cities now get a single, consistent source of truth that reflects how all road users actually interact in real time.”

EagleEye is designed to serve two distinct market segments. Infrastructure contractors and systems integrators benefit from a simplified installation process and a consolidation of multiple vendor relationships into a single platform. Government transport agencies and city councils gain real-time, evidence-based data to support road safety investment decisions and regulatory compliance, without the operational complexity of managing several separate systems.

Privacy architecture is central to the platform’s design. Because EagleEye classifies and processes data locally rather than transmitting video footage externally, it is positioned to meet strict data-sovereignty requirements across Asia-Pacific markets. This makes it particularly suitable for government procurement processes where video transmission restrictions would otherwise limit deployment.

XVision AI has identified more than 100,000 intersections across the Asia-Pacific region as candidates for EagleEye deployment. The company plans to expand from Australia into broader APAC markets between 2026 and 2028. Intersections that currently rely on outdated sensing infrastructure, which can detect vehicle presence but cannot classify road users or respond dynamically, represent the primary addressable market.

The company competes against VivaCity, a UK-based smart sensor company; Axis Communications, whose camera hardware is typically paired with separate analytics software; and legacy sensing technologies including road loops, radar, and thermal systems. XVision AI states that none of these solutions deliver comparable all-in-one onboard processing capability within a single deployable device.

Transport agencies, city councils, and infrastructure contractors interested in EagleEye deployment can contact XVision AI directly to assess intersection eligibility and review integration requirements with existing traffic management systems.

About XVision AI

XVision AI is a Sydney-based artificial intelligence company specializing in smart traffic infrastructure. Founded in 2023, the company develops edge-computing vision systems for road environments, with its flagship EagleEye platform designed to deliver real-time road user intelligence at the intersection level across urban and regional networks.

XVision AI’s technology is built for government transport agencies, city councils, and infrastructure contractors operating across the Asia-Pacific region. The company’s mission is to make intersections safer and smarter by replacing fragmented legacy sensing systems with a single, privacy-conscious, AI-powered platform.
