Sunny Side uses Runway AI Video Generation and Adobe Generative AI (Firefly) in the production of comedy videos distributed Monday through Friday on YouTube, INSTAGRAM, and TikTok. Sunny Side has released 800+ original comedy videos in 2025 for minimal cost using artificial intelligent production tools from Runway and Adobe alongside APPLE’s Final Cut Pro and a terrific team of professional comedy writers, actors, and editors.

WHAT IS COMEDY?
Comedy is the juxtaposition of concepts, words, phrases, or gestures in a pleasing unexpected way that produces a laugh, smile, or elevation in mood.
HOW COMEDY IS PRODUCED BY STAND-UP COMEDIANS
The comedian thinks up a comedy juxtaposition and performs it for an audience. If the audience laughs, the comedian keeps the juxtaposition in the act. If the audience doesn’t “get” the juxtaposition, the comedian keeps experimenting with words, timing and gestures until the juxtaposition gets a positive reaction, or, the comedian decides the juxtaposition will never appeal to their audience.
HOW COMEDY IS PRODUCED FOR TV AUDIENCE
A TV writer comes up with a comedy juxtaposition and presents it to the other writers in the writer’s room. If the writing team likes the juxtaposition they put into the script where it is approved by the series’ producers, network and, sometimes sponsors before being shot. In post production, the comedy juxtaposition undergoes a similar approval gauntlet before broadcast.

We tell the AI tool where to start (prompt) and keep adjusting prompt and generating versions until the desired result is achieved, even though the desired result is not necessarily that an image looks right. Looking odd or funny or unique in a non-distracting way is usually the most desired comedy result and it is remarkable how often both Adobe and Runway produce results that are exactly that!
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP GENERATIVE AI (FIREFLY)
“Ask Doctor Science” is a question and answer radio series produced by the comedy troupe Duck’s Breath Mystery Theatre. Over 2,000 radio shows were broadcast over public radio and are the soundtracks for the Sunny Side daily DOCTOR SCIENCE series.
A key asset for this series is an original appealing image associated with each episode’s topic. Producing that image with Adobe Generative Video is fun and, with our yearly subscription ($265), we get enough credits to make generating multiple versions almost free and getting three great new images 5 seconds after the first three choices is exhilarating.
RUNWAY ARTIFICIALLY INTELLIGENT PRODUCTION TOOLS
There are 30+ post production video and audio manipulation tools on the Runway AI Video Generation website and Sunny Side has tried almost all of them attempting to improve the quality of Sunny Side videos. Each tool has its’ own credit cost based on length, quality of export, and how much computer brain it takes to produce.
