Alteryx and UiPath couple up to accelerate digital transformation with hyperautomation

Data science and self-service analytics platform, Alteryx, announced in a company press release that it has entered a strategic partnership with enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software provider UiPath to speed up end-to-end automation across data-driven business processes.

The data science and self-service analytics platform wrote that the strategic partnership will offer a solution to customers that empowers business leaders, analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to increase operational efficiency and automate time-to-insight, bringing together the benefits of Analytic Process Automation (APA) and RPA to drive faster business outcomes.

Dean Stoecker, co-founder and CEO of Alteryx commented on why Alteryx are proud to partner with UiPath by saying: “Businesses have a heightened urgency to digitally transform, creating market demand for end-to-end automation and an avenue for humans and machines to work together as a means of amplifying intelligence and driving remarkable outcomes. We are proud to partner with UiPath to help business leaders and data workers realize the benefits of APA and RPA when they work together, advancing analytic innovation.”

COVID-19 has resulted in companies introducing automation capabilities at a quicker rate than before seen due to the social distancing rules that governments have brought in alongside companies furloughing its workforce.

The amount of tasks that RPA can carry out is increasing giving platform providers such as Alteryx and UiPath the potential for a higher value offering to its customers with a recent example of a company further implementing automation being Zycus launching AI-driven automation bots to reduce account payable costs by up to 50%.

Investors are also making sure they are getting a slice of the action by taking positions in businesses offering an automation capability such as RPA with Blue Prism raising $120m in April and AI negotiation platform Pactum which can automate contracts and negotiations securing $3m in financing.

The data science and self-service analytics platform wrote that it has introduced the integration via the Alteryx Activity Pack, allowing users to easily trigger Alteryx workflows within UiPath Studio, and the UiPath Activity Pack, available in the Alteryx Gallery.

The Alteryx Analytic Process Automation Platform™ integrates with UiPath’s Platform to enable end-to-end process automation spanning robot-driven, analytic, and data-driven processes for its users which can eliminate manual hand-offs in data pipelines and between groups.

The company claimed that RPA extends the value of APA by automating high-volume tasks, bringing in new and complex data sources for analytic processing within Alteryx and using robots to automate manual output tasks to downstream operational systems.

Alteryx and UiPath claim to have thousands of customers between them which include globally recognised brands that include Audi, Deloitte, Microsoft, Netflix, and Schneider Electric.

Brandi Corbello, senior director of business transformation at Cushman and Wakefield commented on how the company leverages both Alteryx and UiPath by saying: “We are constantly pushing for faster and more precise decision making, leveraging advanced analytics and hyperautomation to give us a real competitive advantage throughout our operations. At Cushman and Wakefield, we leverage both Alteryx and UiPath to achieve our business transformation ambitions and are excited to see how their newly announced partnership and integration will further accelerate what we can accomplish.”

This is not the first time UiPath has partnered up with another company with the aim to offer its users increased value as the RPA software provider announced an integration with Box to enable its customers to automate repeatable work.

The data science and self-service analytics platform explained that the UiPath robots perform data collection and data aggregation from sources such as mainframes and legacy systems without APIs, unstructured data in documents, website scraping, and OCR to name a few.

After the data collection has been done, the Alteryx APA Platform™ then aims to prepare, transform, and blend the found data with disparate sources and then automates analytics, data science, and machine learning and AI outcomes.

The UiPath robots from this point then receive analytic outcomes, act upon the decisions from Alteryx machine learning models, and directly input data to enterprise applications and systems.

The data science and self-service analytics platform wrote that the RPA system combined with the Alteryx APA Platform ensures data governance and integrity across all data analytic functions with the aim to accelerate business processes and outcomes.

Daniel Dines, UiPath co-founder and CEO commented: “By combining our leading hyperautomation platform with the full range of Alteryx’s code-free and code-friendly platform approach, companies can now fully unlock the opportunities of enterprise-grade automation and worker productivity and creativity while embracing the digital transformation process. We couldn’t be happier to be partners with Alteryx to embrace and drive the promise of the fully automated enterprise for the most strategic companies.”
