Portal26, a fast-growing platform focused on managing enterprise adoption of generative AI, has appointed Rick O’Rourke as Chief Revenue Officer. The move underscores the company’s ambition to scale rapidly as demand for secure, governed AI usage accelerates across industries.
O’Rourke, who brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software sales and go-to-market strategy, will lead Portal26’s revenue operations, spanning sales, customer success, and partnerships. His appointment comes as enterprises grapple with the challenges of integrating generative AI responsibly, from managing “ShadowAI” to ensuring compliance and protecting intellectual property.
Portal26 CEO Arti Raman described O’Rourke as a “rare combination of strategic insight, operational rigor, and deep understanding of enterprise software dynamics,” adding that his leadership will be critical as the company expands its customer base and product capabilities.
O’Rourke has held senior roles at SAP, PeopleSoft, and Oracle, and later advised dozens of portfolio companies as a private-equity operating partner with Vista Consulting Group and Noble Rock Advisors. He has also led sales and marketing teams at Yubico and Greenlight Technologies, and most recently co-founded Universily, an AI-native platform.
“The opportunity around enterprise GenAI adoption is wide open,” O’Rourke said. “Portal26 is uniquely positioned to help organizations embrace this transformation securely and at scale.”
Portal26’s platform provides enterprises with visibility and control over generative AI usage, enabling CISOs to mitigate risk and CIOs to track adoption and ROI. The company positions itself as a trusted partner for organizations building responsible AI programs that balance innovation with governance.
