Financial AI solution provider AppZen today announced in a company press release the welcoming of Ali Sadat, Vice President of Product, to the AppZen executive team to support the apparent market demand for financial digital transformation initiatives and implementation.

Sadat joins a leadership team that has recently grown with introductions including Chief Marketing Officer, Wendy Yale, and Chief Revenue Officer, Richard Terry-Lloyd giving testimony to the claimed increase in demand for its service.

Anant Kale, chief executive officer and founder of AppZen welcomed Ali to the team by saying: “We are delighted to have Ali join our team. As finance transformation grows, and we continue to innovate our AppZen AI platform, Ali will be an essential part of bringing our market-leading innovations to fruition.”

BDO highlighted how COVID-19 has changed how people are purchasing goods from businesses with a significant increase in digital transactions both commercially and personally and as a result businesses are increasingly adopting digital transformation initiatives.

Examples of this are Tech Data announcing a planned investment of $750m for digital transformation initiatives over the next five years and Fiserv announcing last week that credit provider BOB Financial Solutions Limited had chosen them to assist in enabling the digital transformation of their end-to-end card issuance and processing cycle.

The financial AI solution provider AppZen offers automation capabilities for a business’s finance team by offering a suite of products and solutions that allow its customers to automate spend approvals, comply with company policies, and optimise the business processes for higher efficiency.

AppZen claims that its patented software technology has audited over $53bn in spending to date with the company seemingly expecting this number to rise at an increased rate with the onboarding of Sadat.

The financial AI solution provider claims to have more than 1,800 customers who include globally recognised brands such as Amazon, Airbus, Comcast, Nvidia, and Salesforce that use its expense and accounts payable audit products to digitally transform the businesses accounting processes.

Sadat brings to the financial AI solution providers team over 20 years of product experience and has held product leadership roles at Salesforce, Mulesoft, IBM, and Cisco with his most recent role being VP of Product for customer experience management company Medallia.

In his previous role at Medallia, Sadat led a team that launched a number of customer experience products that have gone on to be designated market-leading customer experience products by industry analysts.

Speaking on his new position, Sadat commented: “Pervasive AI in enterprise apps is the next big evolutionary step for digital transformation in modern enterprises. However, generic AI applied broadly is rarely effective. Appzen’s focus on solving critical problems faced by under-served finance teams through cloud AI platform is a game-changer.”

The company commented that its continuous expansion comes as it is experiencing increased demand across various industries as companies shift to digital transformation due to COVID-19 and demand for a remote workforce.
