The enterprise rollout comes as hardware development faces a structural crisis. Advanced-node tape-outs now cost anywhere from $40 million to $100 million, while the industry braces for a projected deficit of over one million skilled chip designers by 2030. With engineering teams spending up to 95% of their time on execution rather than innovation, capacity remains severely capped.
In a benchmark with a top-20 fabless semiconductor firm, Cognichip claims a single engineer using ACI Enterprise processed a 55-page specification, taking an advanced ASIC from micro-architecture and RTL design through to functional verification and PPA optimization in just a few days, a workload that typically requires an entire front-end team and 4 to 5 months.
