Francesca LaBianca Named Chief Operating Officer of Factory

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Factory, the global leader in self-improving software development, announced today that Francesca LaBianca has been named Chief Operating Officer, becoming the company’s first executive to hold the role.

LaBianca began working with Factory while at Mantis Venture Capital, where she led the firm’s investment in the company. She later joined Factory and has spent the past two years working closely with co-founders Matan Grinberg and Eno Reyes as the company has grown its team, product and expansive enterprise customer base.

“Francesca has been a key part of Factory’s growth over the last two years,” said Matan Grinberg, co-founder and CEO of Factory. “Her talent, diligence and relentless drive have been crucial as we’ve scaled and built our product for some of the world’s largest enterprises. As we look toward what’s next for Factory, I can’t think of a better person to take on this role.”

Factory is the platform for building software factories: model agnostic, flexibly deployed from Factory-managed, customer-managed, or fully airgapped environments, and able to continuously improve themselves. The company is reshaping how engineering organizations build and manage software by creating a system where engineers define intent and govern outcomes, while the software factory handles execution and ongoing improvement.

LaBianca steps into the COO role as Factory continues to expand its work with companies including NVIDIA, EY, RBC, Adobe, Palo Alto Networks, Adyen, Wipro and Comarch.

“Building Factory over the past two years has been the highlight of my career, and I’m proud to step into this role alongside our exceptional team,” said LaBianca. “We’re giving enterprises the power to bring autonomy to their software development lifecycle, with intelligence they own and the flexibility to deploy it wherever they operate. The opportunity ahead is enormous, and we’re only just getting started.”

Factory is hiring across all teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and operations globally. Offices include San Francisco, New York, London, Japan, and more.
