BERLIN, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Acer today announced the Predator Atlas 7, a new addition to the Predator handheld portfolio that brings the same flagship performance of the recently launched 8-inch model into a more compact 7-inch form factor. Acer is also unveiling Project DualPlay Mini, an innovation concept that functions as both a high-powered gaming handheld and a mobile productivity device, blurring the line between designs for gaming and working. Both devices are featured in Acer’s next@acer global press conference in Berlin, Germany.
Predator Atlas 7
Designed for mobile-first gamers who want flagship Predator experiences in a more compact, portable form factor, Predator Atlas 7 (PA07-I51) is powered by up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and up to Intel Arc B390 graphics for breakthrough gaming handheld performance[2][3][4]. Paired with a subscription to XBOX Game Pass, the device allows for immediate high-powered gameplay right out of the box across hundreds of titles and brings the full benefits of Windows 11 gaming experiences.
To maintain top mobile performance, the device’s dual-fan cooling system features a precision metal Predator AeroBlade fan with 89 blades at just 0.1 mm of thickness, delivering up to a 10% increase in airflow[5]. A secondary plastic fan works alongside it, with Vortex Flow tuning using angled internal channels to guide hot air out of the chassis more efficiently under sustained load. To balance its performance with portability, the Predator Atlas 7 offers up to an 80 Wh battery, enabling long sessions on the road without interruption.
Offering a distinct design, the Predator Atlas 7 is sculpted for more intuitive control. Contoured grips, an enlarged palm rest area, recessed keys, and anti-slip texture help players’ hands settle into a steadier hold for cleaner input and better control throughout longer sessions. The joysticks come with a tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) option for greater precision, ease of use, and anti-drift performance with zero dead zones, while Hall-effect analog triggers support genres requiring more range and pressure variation. The device also offers a built-in fingerprint reader on the power button for quick and secure login via Windows Hello.
The Predator Atlas 7 features a 7-inch FHD touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of peak brightness, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support, and a 16:9 aspect ratio, providing smooth motion, vivid visuals, and brilliant contrasts. The screen comes equipped with Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus™ with DXC surface treatment for scratch resistance and glare reduction, along with an included tempered-glass screen protector. Touch input supports 10-point multi-touch for responsive, intuitive interaction across the full display surface.
Designed around speed, stability, and scalability, the device features dual Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-bandwidth docking, display output, and accessory connections, while UHS-II microSD support accommodates fast external storage expansion. Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth® 5.4 keep the device linked at the latest wireless standards. In addition, access to the PredatorSense app provides live system monitoring, performance mode selection, RGB lighting customization, and gameplay settings accessible at any time with the touch of a button.
For superb audio, the device offers DTS:X® Ultra via dual 2-Watt speakers, giving games more width, detail, and presence. Dual microphones powered by Acer PurifiedVoice provide AI-assisted noise reduction, ensuring voice communication comes through clearly even during intense gameplay sessions.
Project DualPlay Mini
The 8-inch Project DualPlay Mini is a conceptual device from the Predator brand that reimagines what a gaming handheld form factor can do. Rather than serving a single purpose, the concept is built around dual utility — functioning both as a gaming handheld and as a mobile productivity station — and is designed to move fluidly between gaming and productivity without requiring a separate device for each.
For gaming, Project DualPlay Mini supports two distinct control configurations. A built-in backlit physical keyboard enables the traditional laptop mode for first-person shooter games, while a gaming handheld mode supports console-like experiences for other genres. For productivity, the device operates as a mobile work device capable of connecting to an external screen, allowing users to stay productive while on the go without the need for a second device.
The Project DualPlay Mini is defined by a distinctive flip-and-swivel design that allows it to convert between handheld and mini-laptop modes. To mark Acer’s 50th anniversary, the back cover features the words “Acer 50 since 1976” embedded in Morse Code — a detail that reflects both the milestone and the Predator brand’s identity.
Powered by Intel, the conceptual device also integrates the same dual-fan cooling architecture as the Predator Atlas 8—with one Predator AeroBlade metal fan and one plastic fan—except that the metal fan offers thinner blades.
With Project DualPlay Mini, the Predator brand is blurring the lines between devices designed for gaming and productivity. The concept represents a bold step forward in mobile-first innovation, promising to deliver unique experiences for a wide range of users.
