Coldstream Expands Leadership Team to Support Continued Growth and Enhance Client Experience

Megan Hannah to lead firmwide client experience strategy as Ian Curtiss assumes leadership of Wealth Strategy Group amid continued investment in talent development and succession planning

Appointments strengthen Coldstream’s client experience, planning and investment leadership as the firm continues its next stage of growth

BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Coldstream, an employee-owned financial services firm headquartered in Bellevue, today announced that Megan Hannah will join the firm as Chief Client Experience Officer and that Ian Curtiss has been promoted to lead the firm’s Wealth Strategy Group.

The moves reflect the firm’s continued investment in leadership development, succession planning and the client experience infrastructure needed to support its next stage of growth. They are also a part of Coldstream’s ongoing effort to build durable teams around the areas that matter most to clients, including financial planning, investment strategy, family office services and coordinated advice delivery.

“As Coldstream continues to grow, we are investing in the leadership and infrastructure needed to keep delivering the client experience our families expect from us,” said Kevin Fitzwilson, Chief Executive Officer of Coldstream. “Megan brings the judgment, operational experience and client-first mindset we need as more families and teams look to Coldstream. We are excited to welcome her to the firm and equally pleased to congratulate Ian on his expanded leadership role. Both reflect the depth of talent, professionalism and excellence that define Coldstream.”

Anne Marie Stonich, CFP®, CPA, who helped build Coldstream’s Wealth Strategy Group, family office capabilities and client experience platform, will remain a key leader at the firm. She will serve as Co-Chief Client Experience Officer with Hannah through the end of 2026; following the transition period, Stonich will continue to play a significant leadership role at Coldstream with a focus on expanding the firm’s presence in Bend, deepening relationships with complex families and centers of influence, and advancing the firm’s family office capabilities. Her ongoing work will allow her to apply the client experience platform she helped build as she turns her attention to several of Coldstream’s most important growth priorities.

“This transition reflects exactly what we have been building toward: a stronger, deeper leadership team that can support Coldstream’s continued growth while preserving the client-first culture that makes the firm special,” said Stonich. “I am excited to partner with Megan through the transition, support Ian as he leads the Wealth Strategy Group forward, and continue focusing on Bend, family office services, and the complex client relationships that are such an important part of Coldstream’s future.”

In her role, Hannah will work across planning, investment strategy and client service to help Coldstream deliver a more coordinated experience for clients as the firm continues to grow. She joins the firm’s Guiding Coalition, a small group of key executives which leads the firm’s strategic direction. Hannah brings more than 25 years of experience working with RIAs and global asset management organizations.

Most recently, Hannah, a CFA® charterholder, served as Chief Operating Officer and Portfolio Manager at Emerald Advisors, a Seattle-area RIA. During her tenure, she helped guide firm strategy, growth initiatives and client experience improvements during a period of significant expansion.

Earlier in her career, Hannah worked at BlackRock Alternative Advisors, where she held investment research and leadership responsibilities and helped develop scalable investment processes, client reporting systems and cross-functional operating models.

This breadth of experience gave her perspective from both boutique, entrepreneurial firms and large global asset management organizations.

“I have admired Coldstream for many years because of the quality of its people, its client-first culture and the thoughtful way the firm has grown,” Hannah said. “This is a rare opportunity to help a highly respected, employee-owned firm continue scaling without losing the relationship-driven approach that makes it special. I am excited to work closely with Anne Marie, Ian and the broader Coldstream team to build on the strong foundation already in place.”

Curtiss has served as a Coldstream wealth manager since 2021, working closely with Stonich to help shape the Wealth Strategy Group from its early stages. In his expanded role, he will lead the group’s continued development as it supports Coldstream’s wealth managers and clients through advanced planning, investment strategy and coordinated advice. Curtiss will serve on the firm’s Executive Leadership Team.

He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®), Chartered Special Needs Consultant® (ChSNC®) and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designations, reflecting his experience across investment management, financial planning and strategies for clients with complex needs.

“Ian has been deeply involved in the Wealth Strategy Group from its early stages, and his promotion is a natural next step for the firm,” said Stonich. “One of the things I value most about Coldstream’s culture is that leadership is something people are expected to share and develop by helping others grow into new opportunities. Ian and I have worked closely together for years, and I am excited to see him take on this role and continue building on the work our team has done together.”

Curtiss added, “The Wealth Strategy Group has become an important part of how Coldstream delivers integrated advice to clients. I am grateful for the opportunity to help lead the group forward and build on the foundation Anne Marie has been instrumental in creating.”

The appointments build on a broader period of leadership evolution at Coldstream. In 2025, the firm enhanced its leadership structure to support recent growth and future expansion, including naming Fitzwilson Chief Executive Officer. As of March 31, 2026, Coldstream oversees more than $15 billion in total client assets and nearly tripled in size since 2021 while remaining employee-owned and independent of external capital partners.
