Liberty Restoration Group Expands Midwestern Footprint with Acquisitions of ServiceMaster of Columbia & ServiceMaster Restoration Services by KRS

Acquisitions deepen Liberty Restoration Group’s capabilities in Missouri and extend service footprint into Illinois and Wisconsin.

ST. CHARLES, Mo., Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Liberty Restoration Group (“Liberty”), a leading Midwest provider of disaster restoration and reconstruction services and a multi-market ServiceMaster Restore® franchisee, today announced that it has completed its acquisition of ServiceMaster Restoration Services by KRS (“KRS”). The transaction adds three new offices to the Liberty network — Peoria, Ill., Bloomington, Ill., and Milwaukee, Wis. — and marks the company’s second acquisition of 2026, following its April purchase of ServiceMaster of Columbia in Columbia, Mo.

With the two acquisitions, Liberty’s footprint now spans eight markets across Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio and Kentucky. The expanded network provides rapid local response and seamless multi-market capacity — delivered and coordinated by a single accountable provider, from first call through completed restoration.

Commenting on the transactions, Josh Kijanko, CEO of Liberty Restoration Group, stated, “Nick Kellerstrass and Adam Kinser have built businesses defined by responsiveness and integrity, and both are staying on to lead their teams. With them as part of the Liberty platform, we are positioned to serve insurance carriers, homeowners and property managers across the Midwest with greater speed, capacity and consistency than ever before.”

Nick Kellerstrass, owner of ServiceMaster Restoration Services by KRS, added, “We spent years building a team our customers and carrier partners could count on, and protecting that was my first priority in any conversation about the future. Liberty shares those standards, and joining the platform gives our Peoria, Bloomington and Milwaukee teams resources we could not have built on our own — from centralized finance, HR and training to the capacity of a regional network on large losses. I am staying on to lead this team, and we are excited about what comes next.”

Adam Kinser, owner of ServiceMaster of Columbia, added, “We are incredibly excited to join Liberty Restoration Group. This partnership brings together shared values, strong leadership, and a commitment to excellence. Our team in Columbia is proud of the work we do, and we look forward to growing alongside Liberty while continuing to serve our community at the highest level.”

Liberty Restoration Group was formed in 2025 through an investment in the ServiceMaster Restore system by MBN Brands, alongside Petra Capital Partners and SharpVue Capital. With their continued backing, Liberty intends to keep pursuing acquisitions, deepening its penetration of the Midwest and uniting high-performing restoration operations under one platform with shared leadership, systems and standards.
