Care.com Appoints Chekesha Kidd as General Manager of CareBenefits by Care.com

Veteran healthcare and benefits executive tapped to lead next phase of growth for Care.com’s employer division

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Care.com today announced the appointment of Chekesha Kidd as General Manager of CareBenefits by Care.com, the company’s employer benefits division helping working families access care support for children, aging parents, and household needs. Kidd brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across the employee benefits industry, including roles at Aetna, Delta Dental of Minnesota, and The Hartford, and most recently founded Kinumi, a health and lifestyle platform helping older adults and their caregivers age independently, where she will continue to serve as Executive Chair.

In making the announcement, Brad Wilson, CEO of Care.com, said, “Chekesha brings rare institutional knowledge of the employee benefits landscape paired with a founder’s firsthand understanding of what families navigate when it comes to care. CareBenefits is central to our company’s future, and Chekesha’s mandate is clear: build on the strong foundation we’ve established with clients while taking CareBenefits into its next chapter, with more personalized, guided support—so every family gets hands-on help that fits their situation.”

Since Care.com’s acquisition by Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, the company has prioritized CareBenefits as a central pillar of its growth strategy—a reflection of how critical caregiver support has become to how employers attract, retain, and support their workforce. Kidd steps in to lead that next chapter.

Prior to joining Care.com, Kidd served as SVP and Chief Commercial Officer at Delta Dental of Minnesota, Vice President of Group Life & Voluntary Products at The Hartford, and President of Aetna’s Student Health Business, where she led a turnaround that delivered 77% earnings growth in under a year. She also structured more than $5 billion in M&A and financing transactions earlier in her career as an investment banker.

Kidd said, “What drew me to this role is the chance to lead a team that shows up for families when life gets complicated. That’s the difference between a benefit people use and a benefit that just sits on paper. The employers who work with Care.com are counting on us when their people are managing something hard. That’s what I’m here to protect and build on.”

Kidd holds an MBA in Finance & Corporate Strategy and a Master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan, and graduated magna cum laude from Florida A&M University.
