Recognized for the world’s first Dual-Inlet high-speed 3D CT inspection technology based on ‘Rotating Optics’
SEONGNAM, South Korea–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#3DCT—XAVIS (KOSDAQ 254120) (CEO, Kim Hyeong-Cheol), a South Korean leader in automated X-ray inspection technology, announced that it has won the “3rd Inter Battery Awards” held at Inter Battery 2026—Korea’s largest exhibition dedicated to the secondary battery industry.
This award recognizes XAVIS’s Dual-Inlet high-speed 3D CT (computed tomography) battery inspection equipment, featuring its proprietary ‘Rotating Optics’ technology, for its excellence across five evaluation criteria: technological superiority, innovation, marketability, contribution to industrial development, and discourse relevance.
XAVIS’s rotating optical system-based 3D CT inspection equipment enables high-speed, precise inspection of internal battery components like electrode alignment, electrode overhang, etc. It is establishing itself as an essential quality inspection solution for mass production lines at global secondary battery manufacturers. It is particularly recognized for maximizing inspection accuracy even during high-speed imaging by incorporating AI-based image quality enhancement technology.
The Inter Battery Awards is the official award program of Inter Battery, Korea’s largest specialized secondary battery exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources and the Korea Battery Industry Association. It selects and honors innovative technologies and products that advance the battery industry. This year’s Inter Battery 2026 is expected to attract over 690 participating companies, including global battery giants like Samsung SDI, LG Energy Solution, and SK On, with more than 75,000 visitors anticipated.
XAVIS CEO Kim Hyeong-Cheol stated, “This award recognizes XAVIS’ technological prowess, honed through over 20 years of dedicated X-ray inspection technology development, both domestically and internationally.” He added, “We will continue to supply world-class battery inspection solutions in step with the explosive growth of the global secondary battery market, helping enhance the global competitiveness and safety of Korea’s battery industry.”
Meanwhile, XAVIS is expanding its business domains beyond battery inspection equipment into various industrial sectors. In the food foreign object inspection equipment segment, it is actively responding to global food safety inspection demands by accelerating its entry into overseas markets. Furthermore, in the semiconductor sector, it is supplying TGV (Through Glass Via) inspection equipment — a core next-generation packaging technology—to major domestic research institutions, positioning itself to lead the advanced semiconductor inspection market. In the first half of the year, it plans to launch 3D AXI (Automated X-ray Inspection) equipment, poised to revolutionize the SMT/PCB market.
XAVIS’ representative stated, “We are accelerating our leap beyond equipment manufacturing to become a total solutions provider. This includes launching paid industrial X-ray inspection services and initiating paid Nano CT imaging services after nine years of R&D. We plan to grow into the global No. 1 X-ray inspection solutions company across all business areas: secondary batteries, semiconductors, SMT/PCB, and food.”
