World Chain Adopts Chainlink CCIP and the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) Standard for WLD, and Data Streams for High-Quality Market Data

Users can now transfer WLD securely between World Chain and Ethereum

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Chainlink, the industry-standard oracle platform announced today that World Chain, the Layer 2 that supports World Network and its 35M+ users, has adopted Chainlink CCIP to enable cross-chain transfers of WLD using the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard. Users can now seamlessly and securely transfer WLD between World Chain and Ethereum. World Chain has also adopted Chainlink Data Streams, the Chainlink data standard, to enable World developers to build secure DeFi markets in the World ecosystem.

Chainlink CCIP unlocks global market access, maximizes asset utility and liquidity and leverages battle-tested security, empowering developers to build secure applications that can transfer tokens, send messages, and initiate actions across blockchains. This enables projects to build innovative cross-chain apps on World Chain and users to securely transfer WLD cross-chain. A feature of CCIP, the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard enables token developers to integrate new and existing tokens via CCIP in a self-serve manner within minutes.

“It’s exciting to see World Chain has adopted Chainlink CCIP and the Cross-Chain Token standard for WLD, enabling secure transfers across chains. Combined with bringing high-quality market prices to World Chain through Chainlink Data Streams, the mainstream adoption of secure WLD markets and cross-chain apps on World is set to accelerate.” — Thodoris Karakostas, Director, Blockchain & Product Partnerships at Chainlink Labs.

Chainlink Data Streams provides pull-based oracles with sub-second latency that enables DeFi applications to access high-quality financial market data. Consuming dApps can seamlessly fetch price reports and post them onchain to satisfy various core protocol functions.

“We’re thrilled to integrate Chainlink CCIP for WLD, enabling secure cross-chain transfers using the Cross-Chain Token standard. In addition, World is using Chainlink Data Streams to support secure markets around WLD and enhance its liquidity. Ultimately, by leveraging Chainlink’s interoperability and data standards, we can unlock secure cross-chain development and rapidly expand our network across the globe.” — Steven Smith, VP of Engineering, Protocol and Applied Research at Tools for Humanity, contributor to World.

In January, World Chain integrated Chainlink for enhanced cross-chain interoperability to support the development of secure cross-chain applications on World Chain.

About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.

Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, GMX, Lido, and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.
