Why I launched the AI coin

We are at the beginning of the web 3 era. One of the main benefits of launching your own coin is that you create your own ecosystem. This basically means that you can give away your own coin to your community for specific activities. For example, in the case of Content AI Tools, who is a reward tester to test products and write reviews and produce videos about the products. We reward members to sign up for newsletter and also support other members of our discord channel.

That’s also one of the main differences compared to web 2. In Web 2 the data is collected by big tech corporations and creators produce a lot of content for free on these platforms. But honestly, you don’t know how things will evolve because of the algorithm and that can change at any time.

Why AI coin?

In my Content AI Live Show Format on LinkedIn I spoke with CEOs and Founders of AI and SaaS companies and most had a similar struggle: they need a tester, feedback, and data for their tools. They are always good in product development, but what they miss is making their idea big and creating buzz around it. Product development alone doesn’t create you buying clients. Many of these tools are very strong and capable of for example creating content, and generating video snippets and creating transcripts. But the best product on the planet doesn’t help you if you don’t have a client base or a community where you get feedback!

So that was the reason why I started to think about launching my own coin. I wanted to create a coin that helps AI companies to get feedback for their own products. My idea was that I reward people to test AI products. That’s how products become better, and at the same time, you’re building your own fan base and your strong community – that was the starting point of Content AI Tools.

How to launch your own coin

Basically, there are two ways how to launch your own coin. The first way is that you create your own coin. If you have expertise in Blockchain and coin economy, then you can create your own coin by yourself. The other way is that you get help from another company. This can be Rally.io or in my case Roll.com. These people are launching all different kinds of coins and can help you with best practice examples.

How to build your own web 3 community

The platform where you build your community is called Discord. In the beginning, I was really not a big fan of Discord. It looked a little bit too wild for me. After I interviewed Joe Pulizzi in my web 3 live show format, I decided to go all in and take the time. I was very lucky with the Roll Team because they also helped me to structure my own Content AI Tools Discord channel.

Here are four ideas to have in mind when you create your Discord channel:

  • Web 2 and web 3 integration: yes, this is a web 3 project, but still you need to make sure that people find you on web 2. Make sure that you add all your social links also into your Discord channel.
  • Onboarding process: most people are not familiar with web 3 and Discord channels. You have to make sure that they get an onboarding process. This could be text or a welcome video.
  • FAQ: like with the onboarding, there are my open questions for most people who come to your Discord channel. Make sure that their questions are answered in some areas on your Discord channel.
  • What to get for the coins: for most people, this is the first question that they have: what do I get for the coins?

We live in very fortunate times and there is a lot going on within the web 3 space. It is yet not clear how things will evolve, but one thing is sure. There will be massive changes that are coming, and only those who learn quickly and execute fast will succeed in the near future.
