WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dr. Krishnan Suthanthiran and his TeamBest Global family of companies—recognized innovators in cost-effective technologies for the diagnosis/treatment of cancer and vascular diseases, including theranostics—have issued an open call for deeper collaboration with the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI).
Suthanthiran founded the International Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ISTRO) under the Best Cure Foundation (BCF) and the Brachytherapy Research & Educational Foundation (BREF). ISTRO’s mission is to advance cancer/vascular diagnosis and treatment through Best Cure Pro Health Centers and Best Cure Cancer/Medical Centers, which will operate as nonprofit organizations worldwide, 24/7, manufacturing all technologies and products required for comprehensive/affordable treatment.
As part of its commitment to advancing education and access, ISTRO and BREF have contributed 100,000 INR and USD $5,000 to AROI 2026 in Kolkata, India, and to the ACRO Brachytherapy Conference in Medellín, Colombia. These contributions will support ISTRO awards —given to recipients selected by the organizers—and also promote cost-effective diagnosis and treatments.
Suthanthiran emphasizes proactive preventative primary medical, dental, and eye care—combined with effective treatment technologies like those offered through the Best Cure centers—could reduce global mortality from all diseases by up to 50%, a conclusion supported by research published in The Lancet.
This letter calls upon the AROI Board of Directors to collaborate more closely with ISTRO, BCF, BREF, TeamBest, and Suthanthiran to strengthen future programs and expand India’s leadership role in cancer care.
India’s global influence in medicine is profound. With 1.5 billion people and a vast pool of clinical talent, Indians trained in India deliver healthcare across the world. In the U.S., Indo-Americans represent the second-largest group of medical doctors after American-born physicians.
During the September 2024 Quad meeting in Washington, D.C., former U.S. President Joseph Biden encouraged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to position India as a global leader in healthcare, particularly in addressing cancer. In response, BCF, BREF, and TeamBest Global will establish the first of many Best Cure Pro Health and Best Cure Medical Centers across India, beginning in 2026 in Coimbatore and Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, India, focusing on the effective diagnosis and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular and vascular diseases, diabetes, infectious diseases, and other major health conditions.
