Team Cymru joins industry partners in supporting INTERPOL-led international law enforcement effort
LAKE MARY, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Team Cymru today announced it provided critical internet intelligence for INTERPOL’s Operation Red Card 2.0, an international law enforcement initiative targeting cyber-enabled criminal activity across multiple jurisdictions.
Operation Red Card 2.0 (8 December 2025 to 30 January 2026) targeted the infrastructure and actors behind high-yield investment scams, mobile money fraud and fraudulent mobile loan applications.
During the eight-week operation, investigations exposed scams linked to over USD 45 million in financial losses and identified 1,247 victims, predominantly from the African continent but also from other regions of the world. Authorities also seized 2,341 devices and took down 1,442 malicious IPs, domains and servers, as well as other related infrastructure.
Operation Red Card 2.0 reflects the continued importance of coordinated global action between law enforcement and trusted private-sector partners. As part of this effort, Team Cymru provided intelligence support to help enable investigative collaboration and operational outcomes.
“Global cybercrime requires collective defense and trusted intelligence exchange,” said Joe Sander, CEO, Team Cymru. “We are proud to support INTERPOL and its member agencies in advancing responsible intelligence sharing that strengthens international security and protects communities.”
During Operation Red Card 2.0, INTERPOL worked closely with its partners, Cybercrime Atlas, Team Cymru, Trend Micro, TRM Labs and Uppsala Security, leveraging their data and expertise to provide critical intelligence to participating countries.
Team Cymru’s role in Operation Red Card 2.0 aligns with its longstanding mission to reduce friction between intelligence and action. By transforming large-scale, context-rich global network visibility into operationally relevant insights, the company supports law enforcement, national defense organizations, and critical infrastructure partners worldwide.
Operation Red Card 2.0 demonstrates the impact that coordinated public-private collaboration can achieve when intelligence is shared responsibly and acted upon collectively.
Team Cymru’s mission is to save and improve lives by helping governments, law enforcement, and organizations disrupt the digital infrastructure that enables fraud, exploitation, and transnational crime. Team Cymru will defer to INTERPOL for full operational details and results related to the initiative.
