TAK Broadband, LLC Provides Notice

February 19, 2026 (Sioux Falls, SD) – TAK Broadband, LLC (“TAK”) is providing notice of a data security incident that may involve information relating to certain individuals.

On August 11, 2025, TAK became aware of suspicious activity in its network environment impacting certain systems. TAK confirmed containment of the network environment and initiated an investigation with the assistance of outside professionals. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party accessed certain TAK systems between August 2, 2025, and August 12, 2025, and acquired certain files. A diligent review of files involved was conducted to identify whether they contained personal information, and if so, what personal information they contained and to whom that information relates. The review was recently completed and TAK is notifying individuals that the investigation determined had accessible information.

The information involved varies by individual, but may include information such as name, Social Security number, driver’s license/state identification number, passport number, biometric data, date of birth, payment card information, financial account information, medical information, and/or health insurance information.

TAK  treats the responsibility to safeguard information in its possession as an utmost priority. Upon learning of this incident, TAK promptly took steps to secure systems, began a comprehensive investigation, and worked diligently to provide affected individuals with notice. As part of TAK’s commitment to the privacy and security of information in TAK’s care, TAK continues to review and enhance existing policies and procedures relating to data protection and security. TAK has implemented additional security measures to mitigate risk associated with this event and to help prevent similar future incidents. TAK has also notified federal law enforcement and relevant state regulators as applicable.

Although there is no evidence of any actual or attempted identity theft or fraud of information, TAK encourages potentially impacted individuals to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud, to review account statements, and to monitor their credit reports and explanation of benefits over the next twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) months for suspicious activity and to detect errors.
