ALHAMBRA, Calif., March 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Seen Health, an innovative health care provider transforming senior care, celebrated the grand opening of its first flagship Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) center in San Gabriel Valley on Saturday, March 15.
Seen Health’s celebration welcomed top officials and local leaders, including U.S. Representative Judy Chu, California Assemblymember Mike Fong, the office of State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez, Alhambra Mayor Katherine Lee and Councilwoman Noya Wang, Monterey Park Mayor Vinh Ngo, San Gabriel Councilmember Tony Ding, and members of the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce. Also in attendance were the co-founders of Astrana Health, Executive Chairman Dr. Kenneth Sim and Vice Chairman Dr. Thomas Lam.
Congresswoman Judy Chu praised the program, saying in her speech, “We have 12 million older adults in the U.S. struggling to find the care that they need and Seen Health’s PACE center is stepping up to this challenge.”
The celebration featured a speech by the first participant in Seen Health’s program, Rongmei (Emma) Wang, a celebratory lion dance, a children’s dance performance, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and tours of the state-of-the-art facility.
This milestone marks a major step in reimagining aging and expanding access to deeply personalized, culturally-focused care for seniors—offering a level of quality and coordination that is unmatched by traditional healthcare options, and enabling seniors to age at home.
With California’s rapidly growing senior population, the need for innovative care has never been more urgent. In San Gabriel Valley alone, over 17% of residents are 65 or older, with over 300,000 seniors in the area and approximately 30% identifying as Chinese-American. Seen Health is filling a critical gap by providing care that prioritizes whole-person health, dignity, and community.
Designed for comfort and connection, Seen Health’s PACE center features open communal areas, natural lighting, and cultural elements that promote dignity and social interaction. Unlike traditional senior services, Seen Health blends expert clinical services with highly personalized social and cultural support, ensuring care feels familiar, enriching, and provided in the participants’ native languages.
“We founded Seen Health to redefine what aging with dignity looks like,” said Xing Su, Co-Founder and CEO of Seen Health. “Too often, seniors—especially from underserved communities—face healthcare systems that fail to understand their needs or honor their identities. We are changing that by building care around the people we serve, not the other way around.”
Seen Health began serving seniors on January 1, 2025, delivering exceptional care and integrating deeply within the San Gabriel Valley community. In addition to coordinated medical care, participants receive daily meals prepared in partnership with beloved local restaurant brands, door-to-door transportation, and engage in cultural activities, including art classes, Mahjong, and tai chi. By integrating health care with meaningful social and cultural experiences, Seen Health has built a thriving community where seniors feel seen, heard, and supported.
“This isn’t just another senior care option—Seen Health is setting a new bar for what is possible,” said Co-Founder Yang Su. “For too long, seniors have had to choose between fragmented, impersonal healthcare or being forced into nursing homes when they could thrive at home. We are giving them a real alternative that is comprehensive and tailored to their lives.”
