Conveyor Networks announced in a press release today that they have entered a UK partnership with Geek+ and are now an official UK and Ireland distributor for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) logistic solutions.

The partnership will allow Conveyor Networks and Geek+ to use each other’s resources to increase their customer list, drive sales, and add value through their combined services, products, and end-to-end solutions.

Automation, AI, and Robotics within the logistics and warehouse industry have received significant attention since COVID-19 with businesses looking at ways to meet increased demands while adhering to social distancing and reduced labour measure.

This gives Conveyor Networks and Geek+ an opportunity to grow their respective market shares and increase their client roster list with businesses increasingly looking to automate their business processes through automation software and the installation of robots.

More recently, Autonomous Robot Provider (AMR) OTTO Motors successfully raised $29m in a Series C funding round as the demand for warehouse robotics and automated processes are rising along with the shortages in labour.

Marcus Uprichard, Head of Business Development at Conveyor Networks said: “This new partnership agreement with Geek+ propels our industry 4.0 service offering forward with next-level intelligent robotic solutions. The shift to automation and robotics is a growing trend in the logistics sector and will also likely play an important part in the Coronavirus recovery phase. The pandemic is temporary, but many of our customers from retailers to manufacturers are now taking a hard look at how automation can maintain and boost their operations in the long-term, with resilient systems such as those we see from Geek+. We’re very excited to deliver Geek+ solutions to the industry and ensure our customer’s material flow operations continue to thrive now and in the future.”

Conveyor networks were founded in 2009 and provide warehouse automation and software solutions for retail and eCommerce businesses of all sizes through their product and service suite which includes conveyors, sortation, scanning and weighing, printing, labelling, bagging, boxing, picking solutions, controls, and spares.

Conveyor networks use an automation software interface tool called ‘imio’ which stands for interface manager inbound and outbound which relays information from machinery to host systems.
