New Robert Vargas Mural Honors Fight Against Hunger

Famed L.A. muralist pays tribute to AHF’s Food for Health program which provides free fresh produce, bread, eggs, and staples to Southern Californians in need

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–This Friday, world-renowned Los Angeles muralist Robert Vargas will be unveiling his latest piece, a mural designed to celebrate Food for Health – a free, nutritious fresh food distribution program created by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) – at The Sinclair LA in Westlake/MacArthur Park.

AHF started Food for Health in 2021 in response to rising food insecurity among families, veterans and those in need, and since then, it has grown to serve more than 20,000 people monthly. Most recently, Food for Health provided more than 75,000 hot meals to wildfire evacuees and first responders in both Pasadena and the Pacific Palisades and just opened a weekly free farmers’ market in Altadena to continue to serve the community.
