Monitoring and security platform for cloud applications, Datadog, today announced that it has won the “Best Mission-Based Data Solution” Award as part of the 2020 Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector Partners Awards.

The winners were selected based on the innovation of solutions to public sector customers, demonstration of Amazon leadership principles, engagement and success with the AWS Partner Network, and delivery of results in a customer-obsessed way.

Ilan Rabinovitch, Vice President for Product and Community at Datadog commented on why the company is committed to working with AWS and helping government organisations by saying: “Federal and state government agencies are modernizing their infrastructure to deliver improved citizen services. Datadog is committed to working with AWS to help these government organizations accelerate the pace of cloud adoption by providing the observability required to understand the true state of their digital services.”

The public sector has been stretched during the COVID-19 pandemic and according to Deloitte’s “an emerging legacy” perspective article, governments risk the potential of being left with higher debt and less spend available for digital transformation initiatives which include cloud adoption.

Datadog is not the only company playing its part in supporting the public sector with DataRobot offering licenses to nonprofit and social good organisations for its AI platform to help solve critical global issues using AI.

This is not the first Award DataDog have won in 2020 with the monitoring and security platform provider being the recipients of the Analytics and DataOps 2020 Award and the InfoWorld’s 2020 Technology of the Year Award.

DataDog’s monitoring and security platform can enable its clients to implement digital transformation through service offerings that include cloud migration, drive collaboration, accelerate time to market, reduce time to problem resolution, secure applications and infrastructure, understand user behavior, and track key business metrics.

It does the above through the 10 different aspects of its product which are integrations, APM, logs, synthetics, RUM, network, dashboards, collaboration, alerts, and API, all of which bring its unique offering to the clients experience and the products capabilities.

DataDog has an impressive client roster with globally recognised brands using its monitoring and security platform that include Activision, DreamWorks, EasyJet, Harvard Medical School, Lenovo, Siemens, Twitter, and Zynga.

The 2020 AWS Public Sector Partners Awards recognises its public sector partners who are ‘customer-obsessed’ and have delivered amazing results to joint customers between AWS and the category winner company.

Datadog comments in the press release how its cloud monitoring platform was commended for how it “enables development and operations teams to work collaboratively to avoid downtime, resolve performance problems, and ensure that development and deployment cycles finish on time.”

Recipients of the remaining Award categories included Accenture, Axial 3D, Capgemini, Carahsoft, CloudHesive, Cloudticity, Deloitte, eLumin, Four Points Technology, Maxar, Minfy, NorthBay, Salesforce, SAP NS2, T-Rex, Tech Mahindra, and Tyler Technologies
