Media Advisory – Coverage of the Artemis II Moon mission

LONGUEUIL, QC, March 26, 2026 /CNW/ – The launch of the Artemis II crewed test flight around the Moon is currently targeted for no earlier than Wednesday, April 1, at 6:24 pm ET, with additional opportunities for launch each day through April 6.

Live coverage will be available for all key mission activities, including prelaunch events, launch, space-to-Earth connections, and splashdown.

Canadian Space Agency (CSA) events

The CSA will host bilingual events at the John H. Chapman Space Centre in Longueuil for the launch and splashdown as well as three space-to-Earth connections, which will also be livestreamed on the CSA’s Facebook account and YouTube channel. Media are invited to attend these events in person. More details will be shared at a later time, as the schedule is subject to change.

Prelaunch events

Starting on March 27, NASA will host a series of prelaunch events at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. Please consult the NASA media advisory for more details. Only media representatives who have already been accredited may attend the media events at KSC.

Friday, March 27, 2:30 pm – Crew arrival at KSC & media Q&A
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman and CSA President Lisa Campbell will welcome the crew.

Sunday, March 29, 9:30 am – Crew virtual Q&A session

Sunday, March 29, 2:00 pm – NASA status update on preparations for launch

Monday, March 30, 5:00 pm – NASA status update on preparations for launch

Tuesday, March 31, 1:00 pm – NASA prelaunch media briefing

Wednesday, April 1, 12:50 pm – NASA+ coverage of launch begins

Wednesday, April 1 – Postlaunch news conference – Approximately two-and-a-half hours after launch
