LONG BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Long Beach Economic Partnership (LBEP) was proud to be honored by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) at the 29th Annual Eddy Awards, held on Nov. 6, 2024 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This annual celebration of economic development in the Los Angeles region brought together over 600 top business, government, civic, education, non-profit, philanthropic, and community leaders.
The Eddy Awards supports the LAEDCās mission to reinvent the regional economy and advance growth and prosperity for all. The gala celebrates award recipients who represent the best of the LA region in driving economic development, and showcases the regionās powerful business sector, resilient communities, and prowess in art, music, and culture.
As the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) for Los Angeles County, LAEDC established an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) which was signed at LAEDCās 29th Annual Eddy Awards signifying a commitment to collaboration amongst the Economic Development Corporations throughout Los Angeles County. LAEDC President/CEO Stephen Cheung refers to this as a way for our regional partners to establish “A coalition of one to build an economy for allā and it is under his leadership that this MOU was developed in order to strengthen efforts across the county in creating a stronger and more resilient economy for communities across all of Los Angeles.
