ISA Enhances How Members Connect and Share Knowledge

DURHAM, N.C., March 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The International Society of Automation (ISA) — the leading professional society for automation — has announced a new way for its members to exchange ideas and build expertise. Through technical communities called Connect Forums, the best minds in automation come together to engage in topic-specific discussions.

Connect Forums are hosted on ISA Connect, ISA’s members-only community. On Connect Forums, ISA members engage with automation professionals across sectors, dive deep into cutting-edge automation topics and get real-time answers to their toughest questions. The focus is on technologies that cross industry segments, allowing members to get insights from anywhere.

Participants in Connect Forums have the opportunity to lead activities such as technical discussions, crowd-sourced solutions and collaborative idea exchange. Connect Forums represent a new avenue for ISA members to grow their networks and careers while advancing the automation profession as a whole.

“ISA’s new Connect Forums reflect and serve the needs and interests of the society’s growing member base around the world,” said Carlos Mandolesi, ISA’s Technical Assembly Chair and its 2022 President. “As ISA members directly connect across sectors, we will learn, share our expertise and grow as professionals for the duration of our careers. Connect Forums are an invaluable benefit to ISA membership that you can’t get anywhere else.”

Connect Forums cover key ISA technical content topics, including automation and control, digital transformation, safety and cybersecurity, enterprise architecture and networks and operations and management. Any ISA member can propose the creation of new forums.
