Dr. Gonzalez, a skilled general, pediatric, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologist, is now serving patients across the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
At Metroderm DC, Dr. Gonzalez provides comprehensive care across medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She specializes in skin cancer prevention and treatment, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair loss, hidradenitis suppurativa, and other inflammatory skin disorders. Dr. Gonzalez combines medical and procedural treatments to help patients look and feel their healthiest, providing compassionate, individualized care for patients of all ages.
Dr. Gonzalez joins a team led by Edward Stolar, MD, and Todd Perkins, MD, along with Physician Assistant Meghan Hileman, PA-C; and Aesthetic Specialist Danielle Jackson, LMA, CIDESCO.
Dr. Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Miami. She received her medical degree at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and completed her dermatology residency at George Washington University, where she served as chief resident. She also trained at Children’s National Medical Center and the Washington, D.C., Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Dr. Gonzalez spent a year conducting dermatology research at the University of Miami, contributing to clinical trials and publishing in peer-reviewed journals on topics including inflammatory skin conditions, hair and nail disorders, non-melanoma skin cancer and cosmetic dermatology. She has authored educational articles for platforms such as Derm-In-Review, Next Steps in Derm and Dermveda. She also received the Alan R. Shalita Award for Excellence in Dermatological Research. A Puerto Rico native, she is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in Italian.
