Inc. Names HealthTree CEO Jenny Ahlstrom to Its 2025 Female Founders 500 List

Inc.’s eighth annual Female Founders list highlights the nation’s top business leaders who challenge the status quo to tackle some of the world’s biggest problems

SALT LAKE CITY, March 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Inc., the leading media brand and playbook for the entrepreneurs and business leaders shaping our future, today announced its eighth annual Female Founders list, honoring HealthTree CEO and Founder Jenny Ahlstrom in the bold group of 500 women whose innovations and ideas are leading their industries forward.

Each year, Inc. editors review thousands of applications highlighting female founders and applicants through three rounds of judging, looking specifically at an entrepreneur’s accomplishments in the past year. Criteria include quantifiable metrics such as revenue, sales, revenue growth, funding, and audience size. Inc. also looks for qualitative metrics including social media momentum and stories of impact. Applicants are additionally evaluated through the program’s advisory board.

“I’m honored to be recognized as an Inc. Female Founder 500 for my work at HealthTree,” said Ahlstrom. “We are revolutionizing cancer research by using technology that links patients and their data with researchers for faster cures. Providing patients with tools that enable them to become cure contributors is the future of personalized medicine.”

Restricted access to complete and accurate patient data slows cancer research. HealthTree overcomes these challenges by empowering patients with tools to provide researchers with complete, longitudinal data. HealthTree overcomes traditional research barriers with its direct-to-patient model, building long-term relationships of trust with patients through its comprehensive programs.

As a multiple myeloma patient herself, Ahlstrom understands deeply the challenges facing those with a cancer diagnosis. Under her leadership, HealthTree has become the market leader in Digital Health Advocacy, expanding its programs and software platform of over 14 integrated technology tools to support all cancers.

“Female founders know what struggle is, but they’re also experts of improvisation, adaptability, and creativity. The women featured on this year’s list exemplify these qualities. Through times of uncertainty, their unwavering dedication and steadfast leadership are not only inspiring but vital to driving progress,” said Inc. executive editor Diana Ransom.
