CLIFTON, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Icelandirect, LLC (“Icelandirect”), a portfolio company of New Heritage Capital, has acquired SOMA LABS, a New Jersey-based supplement manufacturer specializing in solid dosage form production. The transaction closed in February 2026. The acquisition is a direct investment in capability — expanding what Icelandirect can build, manufacture, and deliver for its clients across both the human nutrition and pet supplement markets.

Four New Manufacturing Capabilities, Now Under One Roof
In addition to Icelandirect’s existing manufacturing depth in lipids and softgels, the SOMA Labs acquisition allows it to now offer clients four expanded dosage form capabilities:
- Powders: Custom blending and filling for both the human and pet markets with flexible packaging formats from stick pack through bulk pouch
- Capsules: Hard-shell capsule production for human and pet formulations, supporting a wide range of fill types including powders, beadlets, and oils
- Tablets: Compressed tablet production with precision dosing for human nutraceutical and wellness brands
- Human and Pet Chewables: Chewable tablets for the human and pet supplements markets, offering brands a palatable, functional, and convenient alternative to traditional capsules and tablets
SOMA LABS will operate as an integrated division of Icelandirect, with its New Jersey facility remaining fully operational. Leadership and technical teams are integrating into the broader Icelandirect organization to ensure seamless alignment across quality systems, supply chain operations, and customer service functions. Existing SOMA LABS customers will benefit from continuity of service alongside access to Icelandirect’s expanded capabilities and resources.
