I Use AI Every Day in Marketing—Here’s What’s Actually Driving Results

By Med Yacoub, Director of Marketing, Tradesk Securities

AI isn’t something I’m experimenting with—it’s something I’ve operationalized. As Director of Marketing at a fast scaling fintech, I don’t have the luxury of theoretical buzzwords or innovation theater. I’m accountable for growth. That means building smarter systems, moving at speed, and turning insight into action daily. AI helps me do exactly that.

At Tradesk Securities, I’ve embedded AI into the spine of our marketing operation. From campaign strategy and audience targeting to creative development and compliance workflows, AI isn’t a tool we sometimes reach for it’s an always on force multiplier. In a resource constrained environment where expectations are high and timelines are short, it helps me lead a modern marketing function that’s agile, efficient, and built for outcomes.

AI as an Efficiency Engine and Strategic Edge when it comes to Marketing

Smarter Paid Media, in Real Time
With limited headcount and aggressive performance goals, I use AI-powered across ad platforms like Meta and Google to dynamically adapt campaigns refining audience segments, rotating creative, and optimizing bids.

Generative AI for Creative Acceleration
We move fast. Generative tools like ChatGPT help me turn a brief into a range of message variants for testing across platforms. I give it voice, structure, and constraints and it gives us momentum.

I use AI image generation to visualize ad concepts early, speeding up alignment with our design partner. It’s not about cutting corners it’s about getting the manual work out of the way so we can focus on what matters: resonance and results.

Sentiment Intelligence for Responsive Messaging
When markets shift, timing is everything. AI-powered sentiment tools help me understand not just what audiences are saying but how they’re feeling. That insight informs how we reposition Tradesk’s messaging and develop content, from Fed decisions to market news.

AI has Reducing Friction, Increased Relevance in Media Campaigns

Educational Content That Converts
We produce videos, explainers, and financial education content across formats. AI supports script outlines, closed captions, and even editing suggestions. It’s not a creative replacement, it’s an amplifier.

It helps us scale production and maintain quality without needing a massive team keeping us nimble and effective.

Behavioral Driven Content Journeys
Our in-app flows, blog content, and email campaigns are increasingly shaped by real user behavior. AI helps identify patterns from what people do in app, to where they drop off, and what drives action.

Ad Targeting That’s Respectful and Relevant
Relevance matters, especially with skeptical audiences like retail investors. We’ve evolved beyond basic targeting. Analytics help us serve smarter ads and reduce fatigue. AI allows us to respect users’ time and attention while improving performance.

Social, Where AI Feels the Most Human (Oddly Enough)

Trend Forecasting That Informs
AI tools surface emerging hashtags, competitor momentum, and content trends giving me early signals to plan against. It’s not always about chasing virality, it’s about being relevant before the market gets crowded.

Compliance First Moderation at Scale
In finance, compliance isn’t optional. AI moderation tools flag misleading or risky language in comments before it becomes a legal issue. It’s our first layer of protection, followed by our inhouse compliance team and it allows us to move fast while staying within regulatory bounds.

AI Isn’t A Hack—It’s How Modern Marketing Runs At Tradesk;

AI is part of the operating system. It lets me lead smarter, execute faster, and do more with less. I’m not using it to replace people I’m using it to unlock them. In an industry where volatility is the norm and precision is critical, AI isn’t just helpful. It’s essential.
