Gemist raises $6M to modernize jewelry sales with its full-stack customization platform

Powered by the world's most photorealistic AI visualization engine, Gemist has shown to drive a 400% faster sales cycle and 300% increase in order value

The jewelry industry is finally getting its tech upgrade.

Los Angeles-based startup Gemist has raised a $6 million seed round to expand what it calls the first full-stack SaaS platform built specifically for fine jewelry brands. The round was led by Entrada Ventures, with participation from The Artemis Fund and Collide Capital, bringing the company’s total funding to $9 million.

Gemist helps jewelers digitize their custom sales experience with a suite of visualization and e-commerce tools. Its proprietary platform allows customers to design personalized pieces online—complete with photorealistic 3D renders, dynamic pricing, and seamless checkout across devices. According to the company, users are creating over 14,000 custom jewelry designs per week using Gemist-powered tools.

The platform promises to slash design timelines and boost conversion. Some customers report up to 400% faster sales cycles and 300% increases in average order value.

“We’ve tried other tools, but nothing comes close to the realism and responsiveness of Gemist,” said Michelle Berlinger, CEO of Berlinger Jewelry. “It cut our design process from days to minutes.”

While the global jewelry market tops $300 billion, most custom engagement ring and fine jewelry sales are still handled offline—often involving back-and-forth design meetings, CAD mockups, and long wait times. Gemist is betting that consumers—especially younger ones—expect the same kind of fast, flexible, and visual experience they get when customizing sneakers or buying cars online.

“We’re solving the biggest pain point in the industry: how to confidently sell jewelry online,” said Madeline Fraser, CEO and founder of Gemist. “Our platform lets brands deliver a fully branded, customizable experience without heavy development work.”

The company’s white-labeled software integrates with existing e-commerce stacks and works across web, mobile, and tablet—making it easy to offer in-store or remote customization. It’s already being used by a range of fine jewelry retailers.

“Today’s consumers demand personalization, transparency, and beautiful digital experiences,” said Julie Henley, Partner at Entrada Ventures. “Gemist delivers all three, helping jewelers scale without adding operational complexity.”

With the new funding, Gemist plans to expand its product capabilities across rendering, pricing, and commerce, while growing its customer base in the U.S. and internationally.
