Money Map Automatically Sets Up Accounts, Funds Routing Rules, and Automated Transfers Across Bills, Spending, Saving, and Investing, Helping Members Follow Through on Advice and Reduce Financial Stress
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today, Fruitful, the financial membership helping Americans understand, organize, and optimize their finances, launched Money Map, the first financial product that doesn’t just give advice, it executes it. Money Map transforms personalized financial advice into a visual, fully automated money system that can be activated with the click of a button. Unlike traditional tools that just offer guidance and leave the heavy lifting to the customer, Money Map takes personalized advice from a Fruitful financial expert and turns it into action. It allocates a member’s income across bills, spending, savings goals, and investments, and then sets up all the associated accounts, funds routing rules, and automated transfers with a single click. In as little as a week, members receive a fully functional, personalized money system – something never before offered in the financial services industry.
“Money Map isn’t just another financial tool; it’s a complete reinvention of how financial advice is delivered and acted upon,” said Sam Lewis, CEO of Fruitful. “It extends far beyond generic guidance or one-off advice to actually build and automate a person’s financial life. Our goal at Fruitful has always been to take the stress and complexity out of money, not just help people manage it, but free them from having to think about it every day. With Money Map, members get a system they can trust, powered by real human guidance and automated follow-through, so their finances are working for them, simply, consistently, and with confidence.”
The financial industry has long focused on asset management and growing wealth for its customers, but for most Americans, that’s not their primary concern. What they truly need is income allocation: clear direction on where their money should go each month across bills, spending, savings, goals, and investments to support their lifestyle and reach their unique financial goals. Most young Americans are simply trying to figure out how to pay bills, manage debt, spend responsibly, and save for the future.
Money Map flips the script in two important ways. First, it’s built around income allocation, the everyday decisions that actually move people forward financially, not just investments, wealth management, or retirement planning. Second, it works with any financial institution, giving members the freedom to use the products they already have. Most fintechs stick to closed ecosystems because they’re easier to control and more profitable. Fruitful chose the harder path, building infrastructure across fragmented systems so members aren’t locked in. And because Fruitful earns revenue from membership fees, not product upsells, our incentives stay aligned with our members’ financial progress, not with selling them more stuff.
Traditional financial advice has long been slow, expensive, and inaccessible for too many Americans. It often means months of meetings, thick plans no one reads, and advice that clients are left to implement on their own. Money Map was built to change that. It turns personalized guidance into a dynamic system that members can activate with a single click, eliminating complexity and making real financial progress possible.
How Money Map Works
When a member joins Fruitful, they partner with a dedicated Guide (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) of their choosing. The Guide begins the engagement with a discovery session to understand the member’s current financial situation, including income, expenses, assets, debts, stressors, challenges, and short and long-term goals. In as little as a week, the Guide leads a roadmap session to present the member’s personalized Money Map in the Fruitful app. Money Map organizes a member’s finances into three core categories and automates their entire money system across:
- Bills: Sets aside money for all essentials, such as rent or mortgage, utilities, credit cards, student loans, and subscriptions, so those are always covered first.
- Spending: Calculates and allocates a monthly “free to spend” amount, giving members clear boundaries so they can spend confidently without worrying about overdrawing or reaching for a credit card.
- Goals: Members work with a CFP® Guide to define both short- and long-term goals, like paying off a credit card or saving for a trip or a home. Money Map directs each dollar that lands in their account to the right spot, helps them track their progress, and even shows projected completion dates. And as life happens, and a member has to tap their emergency fund, Money Map dynamically re-routes their money to build back up their emergency fund afterwards.
Once the member is ready, they simply activate the system, which streamlines opening accounts, setting up income splits, and implementing the plan. Money Map updates in real-time, showing exactly where their money is and where it’s going, and can be adjusted at any time with their Guide as goals change.
“Money Map is a game-changer for Fruitful’s members,” said Rebecca Palmer, CFP®, Head of Guidance at Fruitful. “For the first time, they’re seeing financial advice come to life in a personalized money system that’s built specifically for their needs and working for them around the clock. At Fruitful, we’re always seeking ways to alleviate financial stress and empower our members to feel confident and in control of their finances. With Money Map, they no longer have to wonder if they’re doing the right thing. They can see a clear, automated, professionally-advised path toward their goals, whether that’s paying student loans, building savings, or preparing for a major purchase.”
Money Map follows the launch of Cash & Card, two products that work in concert to upend traditional banking models and provide members with a seamless, transparent financial experience that maximizes earnings, rewards, and financial control, all with no fees, no credit card debt risk, and no carryover balances.
Fruitful Money Map is now available as part of a Fruitful membership, which includes:
- Ongoing, one-on-one financial guidance and support from a dedicated CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
- Tailored investment portfolios with support at every step.
