Focus Financial Partners Network Firm Badgley Phelps Expands with Acquisition of Marshall & Sullivan

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Focus Financial Partners Inc., an interdependent partnership of wealth management, business management, and related financial services firms, today announced that its network firm Badgley Phelps Wealth Managers, LLC will acquire Marshall & Sullivan, Inc. in a transaction expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.

Marshall & Sullivan is expected to add approximately $439 million, measured as of June 30, 2025, to Badgley Phelps’ existing assets under management, bringing the combined firm to $6.6 billion in assets under management.

Based in Seattle, WA, Badgley Phelps provides customized financial planning and investment management services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. They specialize in managing portfolios containing individual equities, fixed-income securities, and alternatives.

“This acquisition marks an important milestone in our firm’s history and opens an exciting new chapter for our firm,” said Julie Parisio Roy, CEO of Badgley Phelps. “Expanding our footprint in the Seattle market is a natural step in our strategic growth journey, and we are excited to build on Marshall & Sullivan’s strong foundation to create more opportunities for our clients.”

Marshall & Sullivan, founded in 1981, is an investment adviser that provides investment management services to individuals, families, trusts, and foundations, focusing on its clients’ unique needs and goals.

“Joining forces with Badgley Phelps, our team will be able to dedicate more time to what matters most: serving our clients’ needs and helping them achieve their goals,” said Gregory S. Robinson, CEO of Marshall & Sullivan. “It will also give us access to a broader range of resources, capabilities, and investment planning tools, enabling us to provide an even better wealth planning experience.”

Upon closing, this will be the first acquisition by Badgley Phelps since joining Focus in 2021.

“We are honored to support Badgley Phelps’ efforts on such a strong, value-accretive merger. We believe that this transaction can accelerate growth, expand reach, and enhance long-term value for clients,” said Travis Danysh, Chief Strategy Officer at Focus Financial Partners.
