SAN FRANCISO, Oct. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Homestead Capital USA LLC (Homestead), a diversified investment manager that acquires, finances and manages high-quality agricultural investment opportunities across the United States, has hired Max Nightingale as managing director and head of strategic growth. In this new role, Nightingale is responsible for helping develop and direct Homestead’s efforts to expand its investments into select U.S. regions and support the existing investment platform that serves the agricultural industry.
San Francisco-based Homestead manages more than $1.6 billion in equity and credit assets for clients globally, including pension plans, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, and family offices.
Nightingale has more than 20 years of experience in international agriculture, having led investment and management teams across diversified farming and agribusiness operations globally.
Before Homestead, Nightingale was head of agriculture at global asset manager Sixth Street, where he was responsible for investing and managing a portfolio of farm and vertically integrated agribusiness investments. Previously in his career he was a partner at International Farming Corporation, LLC, where he led the acquisition of farmland and large-scale development projects across multiple U.S. and Australian states.

Nightingale was raised on a family farm in South Africa and began his career at Unitrans Africa, the largest custom farming and agricultural services provider on the continent. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and horticulture from Stellenbosch University and a master’s degree in business administration from the HEC Paris Business School.
