DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Legendary family law and appellate lawyer Richard Orsinger, co-founder and name partner in the family law firm Orsinger, Nelson, Downing & Anderson, is marking his 50th year as one of Texas’ preeminent legal figures.

Inducted into the State Bar of Texas Family Law Hall of Legends in 2021, he holds dual board certifications from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in family and civil appellate law.
Mr. Orsinger is also a prolific author and speaker on legal topics. He authored an authoritative 900-page treatise on Texas civil appellate procedure. A member of the Texas Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules of Procedure, Rules of Appellate Procedure and Rules of Evidence, he was chief editor of the State Bar of Texas’ Texas Supreme Court Practice Manual and a two-volume work on the use of experts in family law litigation.
His unrivaled commitment to promoting and providing continuing legal education opportunities for Texas attorneys is evidenced in the more than 275 CLE presentations he has written and presented covering family law, the rules of evidence and the rules of procedure, contract law, business law, fiduciary law, trust law, appellate procedure and many other subjects. The founder of the Texas Family Law Foundation, he holds the unique distinction of twice earning the Franklin Jones Best Continuing Legal Education Article Award from the College of the State Bar of Texas.
