MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Elan Credit Card today announced the expansion of its charitable giving program, delivering $250,000 in donations to 25 nonprofit organizations nationwide. Each $10,000 contribution was made on behalf of an existing credit union or community bank partner, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the communities our credit card partners serve.
Celebrating five years in 2026, this milestone of the Elan Charitable Giving program reflects Elan’s commitment to purpose-driven partnerships that extend beyond business. Continuing the program ensures that our collective impact grows, strengthening local relationships and reinforcing the values that drive long-term success. Watch the celebratory video here.
“Our credit card partners are deeply connected to their communities,” said Peter Klukken, SVP, Head of Elan Financial Services, “By aligning our charitable investments with their local priorities — we’re helping extend their reach and deepen relationships with the cardmembers we both serve.”
Since launching in 2022, the Elan Charitable Giving Program has distributed more than $2.5 million to over 175 nonprofits across the U.S. In addition to financial contributions, Elan employees have volunteered over 300 hours to deepen the impact of the donations and foster collaboration between Elan and its partners.
This year’s recipients include 20 credit unions and 5 community banks, each selecting a local nonprofit to receive a donation. Beneficiaries range from food pantries and neighborhood centers to youth programming and animal welfare organizations — underscoring the program’s flexibility and local relevance.
