ANAHEIM, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Econolite, a trusted leader in intelligent traffic management solutions and part of Umovity, announced today that it has expanded its U.S. production footprint with the opening of a new state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, CA. The new 50,000-square-foot location will provide additional manufacturing scale and represents Econolite’s ongoing support for the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA).
The new facility increases capacity for Econolite’s infrastructure-focused products and solutions. “Econolite is fully committed to supporting our customers’ transportation infrastructure needs in compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act,” said Ryan Bullock, Econolite Vice President of Operations. “Adding our fourth manufacturing facility in the U.S. confirms our unwavering support to our customers, municipalities, and communities in helping them meet their Buy America Preference goals for vital transportation projects.”
Strategically located near commercial corridors and hubs for expedited supply chain distribution, Econolite’s new San Diego facility will provide additional manufacturing capacity for traffic cabinet production, including assembly, testing, and inspection. It also provides strategic warehousing for in-stock assemblies and ready-to-ship products, reinforcing Econolite’s industry leading traffic cabinet delivery times.
