Deploy Action – New Organization is Taking on the Fight to Push the Clean Energy Economic Sector Forward in California

Former DOE Leaders, California Legislators and Green Tech Industry Executives have Come Together to Lead the State in Decarbonization

SACRAMENTO, Calif., March 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Former Department of Energy (DOE) Advisor Arnab Pal and former Assemblymember Phil Ting today announced the launch of a powerful new organization that will address critical funding and legislative action needed to decarbonize California by 2045. Deploy Action, a network of clean technology industry leaders, political influencers and former high-level State and Federal government officials, is leveraging the progress achieved over the last four years to take clean energy infrastructure and access to new heights. The organization will remove barriers to clean energy adoption, ensuring a more sustainable, reliable and affordable energy system for all.

Deploy Action will fight for state legislative and regulatory policies that are informed, efficient, and forward-thinking. Ultimately, this cutting-edge organization is designed to promote economic and environmental equity through clean energy abundance. Enabling the rapid deployment of clean energy infrastructure will drive wealth creation, strengthen grid resilience and lower energy costs for all Americans.

California is leading the nation in terms of a clean energy vision, but the state has struggled to bring that to life. Deploy Action was founded to move things forward, and we’re excited to make California’s clean energy future a reality,” said Arnab Pal, Founder of Deploy Action and a former senior consultant for the U.S. Department of Energy.

Deploy Action will educate California stakeholders on the future energy demand constraints California will face and how clean energy abundance will be the only way for the state to address its goals pertaining to affordability, reliability and the environment.

Phil Ting, former California State Assemblymember and Assessor-Recorder in the San Francisco Bay Area, said, “As a lawmaker, I always wanted to hear directly from business executives. Deploy Action’s members are so plugged into the clean technology industry and the policy world, Deploy can facilitate conversations between lawmakers, community leaders, and clean technology executives so that everyone can align resources and deploy together.”

The initial policy priorities for the organization include interregional market cooperation & transmission expansion, valuing distributed energy resources & virtual power plants and third-party aggregator data access reform.
