Australia edition to unite AI innovators and digital infrastructure leaders with shared keynotes, combined expo hall and distinct conference programming
MELBOURNE, Australia–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#DataCenterWorld—Data Center World Australia and The AI Summit Australia today announced that registrations are now open for their co-located event. The events will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7-9 September 2026, bringing together leaders across artificial intelligence, data infrastructure and enterprise technology for a unified industry gathering.
Organised by Informa, the two events will share keynote presentations and a joint exhibition hall, while maintaining distinct conference tracks and educational programming tailored to each audience. The format reflects the growing convergence between AI innovation and the digital infrastructure required to power advanced computing, cloud expansion and large-scale AI workloads.
“Data centre infrastructure and artificial intelligence are now fundamentally interconnected industries, each driving unprecedented demand and innovation in the other,” said Caroline Hicks, Vice President, The AI Summit Series. “As AI adoption accelerates around the world, bringing Data Center World and The AI Summit Series together in Australia reflects our commitment to leading the global conversation at the intersection of these two industries, and ensuring we remain at the forefront of the technology ecosystems shaping the future.”
The Melbourne event will convene technology executives, infrastructure providers, enterprise leaders, developers and investors to explore the technologies and partnerships powering the next phase of AI deployment and data centre growth across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
A newly formed advisory board will play a key role in shaping the inaugural programme, bringing together industry leaders from across the data centre infrastructure and AI ecosystems to guide the event’s strategic focus and content development.
“We have invited the region’s leading technologists and industry experts to join our advisory board, ensuring that the most pressing opportunities and challenges facing the data centre and AI sectors are addressed in this collaborative forum,” said Tara Gibb, Senior Director, Data Center World. “For 40 years, Data Center World has helped guide the global dialogue around data centre innovation and progress. As AI continues to rapidly evolve and reshape the industry, we are expanding our conferences to support the next wave of technological advancement.”
The event is presented in partnership with the Victorian Government as Government Partner, alongside the Melbourne Convention Bureau, Visit Melbourne and Business Events Australia as Destination Partners, and Data Centres Australia and the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) as Industry Partners.
“Through the AI Mission Statement, we’re embracing AI with the same bold ambition that has made Victoria a global innovation leader – creating secure, future-proof jobs and attracting billions in investment to our state,” said Danny Pearson, Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs, Victorian Government.
