Humax Enters the Vehicle Mobility Market With New Total Mobility Solution

Consumer electronic company, Humax, announced in a company press release that it has entered the vehicle mobility market with a total mobility solution, including a service, device, and hub platform.

The company offers a range of core technologies in the field of integrated mobility, including shared mobility, commercial vehicle fleet management, parking lot operation, and EV charging. The consumer electronic company has also recently acquired, and invested in, related businesses globally, including Asia and the Middle East.

Jeff Kim, EVP of Worldwide Sales at Humax commented, “Humax will be supplying total mobility services equipped with the RAiDEA mobility service platform, mobility device platform, and mobility hub platform to the global market. Not only are we delivering solutions to Korea’s largest car-sharing company, but we have also signed contracts with major car sharing operators (CSO) in the Middle East and Southeast Asia to successfully expand our mobility presence along with our existing gateway business.”

As businesses operating in the vehicle market increasingly make the shift to go electric, there is the rising demand for the road infrastructure to support these changes that include parking, vehicle charging, and maintenance for companies that are planning to switch its entire commercial fleet to electric.

Nvidia announced new features at its GPU Technology Conference that will support autonomous cars and its location mapping which can potentially fit in with technology such as RAiDEA to provide drivers with more information on their journey.

The consumer electronics company wrote that it aims to use RAiDEA infrastructure to become a global platform provider to facilitate mobility as a service (MaaS), encompassing multiple means of transportation. RAiDEA is a cloud-based integrated mobility platform where users of the product can expect to be able to deliver various forms of service that can be quickly and easily applied and provide flexible over-the-air (OTA) updates.

The consumer electronic company wrote that it is currently carrying out a variety of projects in Korea, including the supply of mobility device platforms to Socar and Green Car.

Humax explains that its aim is to supply globally, supply commercial vehicle technology to fleet operators, and offer solutions to recognised brands in the North America and South America regions.

Within the field of shared mobility, RAiDEA is making what looks to be significant inroads into the mobility market and is collecting data on how to better optimise mobility and road infrastructure. This is similar to the way SmartHop, who successfully raised $4.5m in July, is collecting data on commercial vehicles such as lorries and vans to make trips more efficient, something that could work well with aspects of RAiDEA.

RAiDEA is an all-in-one mobility platform that provides various types of services, such as B2C, B2B, and P2P for round trips, one way and free-floating infrastructures. It targets vehicles including automobiles, motorcycles, bikes, and electric scooters.

The consumer electronic company comments on how RAiDEA is designed as a flexible interface with numerous value-added services and that it is currently being integrated into Korea’s most advanced business-to-business car sharing service labeled Humax Carplat Biz.

RAiDEA mobility hub platform (MHP) is used for smart parking and the Humax claim that it provides customers a host of parking lot mobility services via a single platform. With RAiDEA MHP, users can expect to be able to turn parking lots into hubs that deliver a comprehensive range of mobility facilities, including parking management, shared parking, car sharing, electric vehicle charging, vehicle maintenance, and car wash services.

The consumer electronic company mentions in its press release that it has dedicated to expanding its innovative business through active investment and M&A. Humax also explain that it’s working towards a competitive advantage in the future of the mobility and plans to utilise the RAiDEA platform to respond to the market of multi mobility services.
