NEW YORK, May 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Cipla USA Inc. (Cipla USA) announced its continued collaboration with the American Lung Association for the 11th annual LUNG FORCE Walk, reaffirming its commitment to advancing respiratory health and supporting those affected by lung disease. For the 3rd consecutive time, Cipla North America employees joined hundreds of participants at the iconic South Street Seaport, Pier 16 in New York City, walking in solidarity to raise awareness and funds for lung health initiatives.
As a Lead Sponsor of this year’s walk, Cipla USA continues to build on its legacy of over 10 years in the US generics pharmaceutical landscape, with a strong focus on respiratory care. With more than 34 million Americans1 living with chronic lung diseases, the company’s purpose of ‘Caring for Life’ remains more relevant than ever. This year, Cipla proudly recorded its highest-ever participation in the walk, with nearly 100 employees, along with their families and friends, joining the event. This notable turnout also made Cipla the largest participating group on the day, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing commitment to community engagement.
Marc Falkin, CEO, Cipla North America, said, “Our collaboration with the American Lung Association underscores our steadfast commitment to expanding access to high-quality, innovative treatments and raising awareness about respiratory diseases. “We’re incredibly grateful for Cipla USA’s continued leadership and commitment to lung health,” said Emily Amitin, Development Director of the American Lung Association in Metro New York. “Their support helps fuel lifesaving research, expand access to care, and amplify awareness around the most pressing respiratory issues facing our communities. Together, we’re not just walking – we’re driving progress for every person who breathes.”
The LUNG FORCE Walk supports the American Lung Association’s efforts to defeat lung cancer, improve air quality, reduce the burden of lung disease, and eliminate tobacco use. According to the ALA, asthma affects approximately 27.8 million Americans, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) impacts 11.1 million adults. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S.
