With over 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and a distinguished career in public safety, national security, and emergency preparedness, Mr. Bugel’s expertise will help shape Carbyne’s future.

Mr. Bugel is renowned for his leadership in revolutionizing public safety communications. He also spearheaded AT&T’s public safety broadband communications strategy, managing the FirstNet Response Operations Group and deploying critical network assets to support emergency responders during wildfires, hurricanes, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other crises.

“Jim’s visionary leadership and deep understanding of public safety communications make him an invaluable addition to Carbyne’s Advisory Board,” said Amir Elichai, CEO and Co-Founder of Carbyne. “His contributions to FirstNet have set a new standard for emergency communications, and we’re thrilled to have his guidance as we continue to innovate and expand our cloud-native solutions.”

He has also led several advisory committees, including the International Disaster Response Sub-Committee to the U.S. Department of State’s Advisory Committee on International Communications and Information Policy (ACICIP) and the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC).

“I’m honored to join Carbyne’s Advisory Board and contribute to their mission of transforming emergency communication systems,” said Mr. Bugel. “Carbyne’s innovative approach to leveraging cloud technology is critical to enhancing the speed, reliability, and efficiency of emergency response worldwide.”
