Building a Digital Workforce Using OpenBots Intelligent Automation Platform

To survive an ever-evolving business environment, organizations need to build flexible, on-demand digital ready workforces. As a result, digital technologies including Intelligent Automation, RPA, and Intelligent Document Processing software are viewed as integral to an organization’s digital strategy. It is therefore no surprise to find organizations turning to all-inclusive, enterprise-grade Intelligent Automation platforms, such as OpenBots, to meet their workforce challenges.

Enterprise Technology Platforms are the Foundation of Modern Organizations

There is an urgent need to address capability and capacity gaps within organizations. Variations in work demand necessitate far greater flexibility in workforces than ever before. Recruiting, training, and maintaining large communities of permanent workers does not meet the ever-changing needs of modern organizations. One of the most effective ways to close talent gaps is to use algorithms to create an affordable and on-demand intelligent digital workforce.

The concept of a digital workforce has evolved as workforce dynamics have evolved. It has moved from being a buzz word to a real-world phenomenon as evidenced by the growing number of bots, apps, AI, machine learning algorithms, and other similar intelligent digital workers.

Just as workforce dynamics have changed, so too has the RPA and Intelligent Automation market. Now one of, if not the fastest way to create a flexible, digital workforce is by leveraging an all-encompassing Intelligent Automation platform.

By using an all-inclusive, enterprise Intelligent Automation platform, such as OpenBots, organizations can rapidly amend the structural makeup of their workforce by joining their best ‘human workers’ with their best digital co-workers. This enables organizations to create a flexible workplace in an affordable manner.  And that is something every organization needs to be able to do.

OpenBots award -winning platform, gives organizations the ability to rapidly accelerate their adoption of digital technology using everything they need in one all-encompassing platform.  This includes all the developer and business tools your organization needs to build, manage, monitor automation workflows now and into the foreseeable future, to get you the business results it needs. Whilst you may not need all the tools at the beginning, or use them all at once, it is incredibly useful to have everything already there when you need it.

Unlike most current RPA vendors license models, organizations that use OpenBots can build as many bots as they need without worrying about ever increasing per-bot license costs. OpenBots Zero Bot licensing model means organizations are only charged when their bots are working, so their costs are aligned to their actual usage. This is increasingly critical as organizations navigate their way into what will be a period of considerable economic volatility and uncertainty.

Why do organizations need to create a digital workforce?

Organizations that embrace a truly digital workforce, enhance the value of their entire organization. Automation enables them to realign and reskill workers to focus on more value-add tasks. When robots take care of low hanging fruit, high hanging fruit can then be picked by AI and human workers.

How can organizations benefit from an enterprise Intelligent Automation platform?

Organizations that introduce RPA and Intelligent Automation can benefit in a multitude of ways including:

1. Better employee and customer experiences. Removing mundane, repetitive, low value tasks from knowledge workers in-trays, helps improve their work life experience.

2. Digital workers make work easier. This leads to capacity and productivity benefits, and ultimately improved financial benefits for an organization.

3. Elevate human potential at work. People are an organization’s most innovative and creative asset. The more time knowledge workers can spend innovating, the more likely their company is to benefit financially from their thinking.

4. Accelerate learning, accelerate productivity. An AI infused digital worker can watch and learn as an expert completes a series of tasks. Over time, that individual or team can start to pass more and more work to digital workers.

5.     Handle spikes and troughs in demand. Digital workers are invaluable supporters of human colleagues that can be turned up, down or off as required. This provides organizations with the flexibility that the on-demand digital economy needs.

And RPA and Intelligent Digital automation platforms are one of the fastest and most effective ways to get these benefits.

What should organizations look for in an Enterprise Intelligent Automation Platform?

1. All-inclusive Intelligent Automation Package. An all-inclusive bundle includes all the utilities organizations need to successfully build a digital workforce. For example, RPA, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), process discovery, a no-code form builder, a marketplace, a training program with certification, and both cloud and on-prem orchestration options.

Organizations often start to digitally transform processes using RPA. They then discover they need to add IDP.  And soon after they discover they need process and task mining and so on. Those costs can quickly mount up when these are bought as separate items and that often makes their programs uneconomic.

An organization needs an all-in-one platform from the get-go. This enables organizations to grow into one all-inclusive Intelligent Automation platform as they grow in an inexpensive, uncomplicated way.

2. Attended and Unattended. Organizations need both attended and unattended bots to digitally transform their front, middle and back offices.

3. Stability and Scalability. An accredited, enterprise grade Intelligent Automation platform is critical as a digital workforce will be integral to your mission critical organizations, systems, and operations in growing organizations. Global banks, healthcare, manufacturing, ecommerce, oil, gas, and energy companies and your organization need a that is stable and secure.

4. API Friendly: There is increasing pressure for companies to leverage machine learning and AI to make the workflows more intelligent and more efficient. Choose an enterprise grade platform that is designed to be API friendly and can easily connect with machine learning models, other data sources or document understanding tools.

5. Cloud and On-Prem Orchestration Options: Identify a vendor offering that includes cloud or on-premise orchestration flexibility. This means businesses can pick and choose the platform orchestration model best suited to their current and future technology and security needs.

6. Affordability. Avoid costly or complicated pay per bot license model or the need to lock your company into an inflexible 3-year vendor license lock-in period. Instead, find a vendor who offers a simple to understand, monthly subscription-based license model to align you program costs directly with your usage.

7. Simple Pricing: Consider a Zero Bot licensing pricing model that is simple to follow whether you build 5 bots or 500 bots it does not matter. With Zero Bot licensing, organizations can put unlimited bots into production and prioritize their budgets on developing and maintaining processes that produce an ROI.

8. Subscription Based: Organizations can invest in a variety of simple to understand subscription plans that are tailored to their unique organization needs and budgets.

When should organizations consider using an Enterprise Intelligent Automation Platform such as OpenBots RPA?

Organizations should consider Enterprise Intelligent Automation Platform such as OpenBots RPA when:

  1. They need a fully integrated, cloud-based intelligent automation platform with everything an organization needs to deliver ROI. OpenBots accredited, enterprise grade suite of tools includes everything you need to build a digital workforce, as well as dedicated enterprise support and a support community.

  2. They could benefit from a dedicated success manager who will help coach them to be successful. The success manager ensures that an organization sets up and runs its RPA and Intelligent automation program optimally.

  3. They want a comprehensive, free learning academy and an improved flow of ideas from a large, innovative, highly engaged OpenBots development community that supports their success, learning and development.

  4. It is time to renew licenses for the ‘so-called’ top 3 vendors, but they don’t want to commit to an expensive per-bot, multi-year complicated license model. Instead, they want a robust, cost-effective alternative to the ‘so-called’ top three, where they only pay for what they use.

  5. There is pressure to lower IT spend or when a smaller IT budget is available. This is something that will become increasingly necessary as organizations soon enter inflationary and recessionary times.

  6. Organizations want to leverage zero cost bots to enable them to be free to concentrate on the long tail of smaller benefit processes.   With Zero-Bot licensing, organizations can put unlimited bots into production and prioritize their budgets on developing and maintaining long tail processes that can still produce an ROI without constantly worrying about license cost. That is often simply not possible with per bot license models.

Conclusion

OpenBots all-inclusive enterprise Intelligent Automation platform is a serious business option with 100s of organizations choosing it over other RPA platforms. It offers everything you need to build a digital workforce now and into the future. As a result, OpenBots has become a driving force behind enterprise innovation, operational effectiveness, and business value creation across multiple industries.

There is a demand for enterprise automation platforms to be flexible, affordable, and scalable. The OpenBots platform meets all these criteria. In fact, it has recently been recognised in Everest Group’s new global RPA market report, “Everest Group Robotic Process Automation Products PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2022,”, alongside SAP, and IBM, as a major contender, based on its vision, capability, and market impact.

If your organization is considering a multi vendor strategy, or are reconsidering your current RPA vendor, or just looking to get started with RPA and Intelligent Automation, then the all-inclusive OpenBots platform should definitely be in your consideration set.

Delighted to get to write this and for this to appear on the AIJ website. An all encompassing platform just makes sense from an ability to grow using a complete package rather than trying to bolt on expensive parts as you scale perspective. With an easy to follow pricing model firms can also stay in control of spend at all times. As they know what is coming cost wise, they can better plan their spend.
