Sothen, a seasoned financial leader with over 25 years of experience, will oversee Balavant’s financial reporting, internal controls, acquisitions, and operational finance functions. He brings deep industry expertise from leadership roles at Brown & Brown and its MGA subsidiary, Arrowhead, where he served as Divisional CFO for Services and National Programs.
Kazemi, who joins as Chief Operating Officer, brings extensive experience at the intersection of insurance, technology, and financial services. During his time at Hippo Insurance, Kazemi oversaw business operations, directed revenue strategy and retention initiatives, and managed complex cross-functional projects. At Balavant, he will focus on strategic growth initiatives, M&A integrations, and driving operational excellence across the platform.
