AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Stephanie Cagniart has joined the Texas appellate boutique firm Alexander Dubose & Jefferson LLP (ADJ) as a partner in its Austin office.
Prior to joining ADJ, Ms. Cagniart was a partner in the Austin office of Baker Botts and a federal prosecutor. She has represented clients in a wide range of matters in state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court, Supreme Court of Texas, and U.S. Courts of Appeals across the country. She also has extensive experience in Texas state and federal trial courts. Ms. Cagniart is a former law clerk for Senior Fifth Circuit Judge Patrick E. Higginbotham.

A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, Ms. Cagniart was a member of the school’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, where she helped brief four cases that were argued before the U.S. Supreme Court during its 2010-11 term. She has served on the faculty of the University of Virginia School of Law and The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, and is an elected member of the American Law Institute.
