AI Mastery for Finance Professionals’ dives deep into AI’s disruption of corporate finance

A surface-level understanding of AI within finance is no longer sufficient.

MEMPHIS, TENN. – Oct. 28, 2024 – “Throughout human history, very few technological advancements have held the power to reshape industries, redefine the nature of work, and challenge the very foundations of our economic systems. We stand now in the early stages of a technology that is poised to rival the invention of the wheel, the printing press, and the Internet.”

So begins Glenn Hopper’s exploration on the impact artificial intelligence is having – and will continue to have – on the landscape of business and finance. Hopper, a Memphis-based chief financial officer and Head of AI Research and Development at Eventus Advisory Group, has his finger on the pulse of the AI revolution. His new book, “AI Mastery for Finance Professionals,” arrives at the precise moment where finance executives and C-suite peers must not only be paying attention, but be actively involved in the adoption and diffusion of the technology. Hopper’s book, his second on the intersection of finance and AI, goes on sale on Oct. 29, 2024.

“Companies must learn to live with AI, or they will die without it,” David Waddell, president and CEO of Waddell & Associates, warns. AI has never mattered more in business, and the financial world has produced – and has access to – vast amounts of “Big Data” that is either an oasis of deep decision-making insight, or an anchor that can drown a CFO unprepared to use this rapidly evolving technology. AI’s relevance to business hinges on the need to collect and comprehend the sheer volume and complexity of data. Not only can AI process vast amounts of data, but also can identify complex patterns and make real-time decisions amid the never-ending intensification of competition.

“Glenn Hopper didn’t just write the book on artificial intelligence – he wrote it twice!” Don Tomoff, founder of Invenio Advisors, highlights that “AI Mastery for Finance Professionals” is not only essential reading, but a continuation of Hopper’s mission, beginning with his first book “Deep Finance: Corporate Finance in the Information Age,” to equip finance executives with the insight, motivation, and courage to use AI to transform their organizations’ business trajectory.
